#5. WrestleMania 36 card changes

WWE made a few big changes to the previously planned WrestleMania 36 card, and these alterations had a big effect on the Super ShowDown outcomes.

Dave Meltzer had reported in yesterday's Wrestling Observer Radio that the new plan was to have Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg and John Cena vs. The Fiend for WrestleMania 36.

WWE booked the Super ShowDown main event in line with the new direction. Reigns is expected to win the Elimination Chamber match to determine the #1 contender while John Cena could be involved in a beatdown angle at the hands of The Fiend when he returns on SmackDown.

As stated earlier, WWE officials feel that the two aforementioned matches are more appealing and can draw bigger numbers than the originally slated bouts.

#4. John Cena has been campaigning to get on the WrestleMania card

John Cena has spent a considerable amount of time away from the WWE and absence does make the heart grow fonder.

Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue told Korey Gunz on the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast that John Cena has been actively pushing to be featured on the 'Mania card for quite some time now.

Tom added that the Cenation leader would most likely not be involved in the title scene, which, as we now know, seems legitimate.

John Cena is a late addition. He’s been arguing, well not arguing, he’s been campaigning to get himself onto the card and I didn’t confirm last week whether or not the match with Elias was definitely the plan because I hadn’t got confirmation that it was the plan. And here we are hearing that it might not be the plan after all. I’m still confident that John Cena will not be involved in a championship affair.
