What's the story?

It was revealed that Ronda Rousey had broken her hand following her controversial loss in the WrestleMania 35 main event, but now Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has revealed that Ronda Rousey was also sporting a different injury heading into WrestleMania as well.

In case you didn't know...

Even though she was probably taking time off anyway after WrestleMania, Rousey's hand injury forced her to miss the Raw after WrestleMania and sped up her departure from the company for a matter of months.

Ronda Rousey is expected to return around SummerSlam or next year's Royal Rumble with the WWE looking to put on a Ronda Rousey Vs. Becky Lynch singles match for WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Florida.

The heart of the matter

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com reported on several backstage details regarding the WrestleMania main event, and one of the things he revealed was the fact that Rousey wrestled with an injury that required stitches

The match was worked out ahead of time, and WWE cameras actually filmed Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch preparing for it. Rousey had to battle through a big cut on her leg from last week, which required over a dozen stitches.

As you can see, Ronda Rousey, a rookie to WWE a year ago, wrestled in the main event of 'Showcase of Immortals' with a large wound that required stitches, and a broken hand for at least some of it. Perhaps she really is 'The Baddest Woman on the Planet'.

What's next?

With Becky Lynch as the 'Champ Champ' sporting both the Raw and SmackDown Live Women's Titles calling Ronda Rousey out for a rematch at any time. It seems it's not a matter of if, but when, Rousey returns.
