WWE SmackDown: 5 Reasons why Liv Morgan wasn't the new addition Bray Wyatt's Firefly Fun House

So, why wasn't Liv Morgan the big surprise this week?

The internet had been buzzing ever since it was announced that Bray Wyatt would make a grand addition to the Firefly Fun House this week. And most of the internet assumed that it would be Liv Morgan who would be added to the Firefly Fun House.

I mean there was even the whole deal about someone designing a costume for Sister Abigail, which turned out to be a dead end. And of course, following her last big loss on WWE television, Liv Morgan had said something to the effect of returning to her true persona once again.

So why didn't WWE decide to go all the way with Miss Morgan and make her Bray Wyatt's sidekick or valet? In this article, I shall try and go right to the heart of the matter and possibly answer the question that's been plaguing you.

Of course, I invite you to leave a comment below and also, rate every match from SmackDown at this location.

#5 The Bray and Bryan saga is far from over

A lot of times we accuse WWE of needlessly convoluting a storyline that just does not need to become more complex than it is. The last visual we saw on SmackDown was The Fiend dragging Daniel Bryan to the depths of hell. To have Liv Morgan inserted into the mix at this point would have just watered this storyline down.

The Fiend has just dominated all of his opponents thus far, so he doesn't even need a fiendish associate to even the odds against his opponents. To have him cheat and win with Liv Morgan's help would just make him look weaker than he is.

Liv Morgan is far better off being a member of the women's division than Bray Wyatt's aide.

#4 Liv Morgan is a RAW Superstar

Not long ago we saw NXT come out on top when the black and yellow brand went to battle against RAW and SmackDown. But Survivor Series is in the past and to have the idea of fluid brands would just undermine the draft that took place not long ago. Bray Wyatt is the face of SmackDown as the WWE Universal Champion right now. Liv Morgan is a RAW Superstar at the moment.

Of course, Liv Morgan hasn't appeared on RAW yet so to have her show up on SmackDown will do no harm. But honestly, why would you disrupt your own concept and have the brand split become absolutely meaningless? There are ample opportunities for Liv Morgan on RAW.

One could also make the argument that a program against Becky Lynch may do much more for Liv Morgan's career than being Bray Wyatt's 'puppet'.

#3 Could have made her a valet, instead of a wrestler

The only time I can potentially imagine Liv Morgan teaming up with The Fiend is the Mixed Match Challenge. And even that would be weird because I honestly can't foresee The Fiend in a tag team environment at all.

Liv Morgan can wrestle, and hence, having her paired with a male wrestler inside the Firefly Fun House would have really made no sense. Also, honestly, her acting chops weren't extraordinary in the Riott Squad days.

It makes sense to have Lana be a part of Bobby Lashley and Rusev's storyline as a valet as acting is her strong suit while pro wrestling isn't. Liv Morgan is a pro wrestler first and an actor second, and maybe she needs to be her own character when she makes a return to television.

Andrade and Zelina Vega just seem like a pair made to be an on-screen duo. You can't say the same about Liv Morgan and Bray Wyatt, at all.

#2 No signs of a Wyatt Family returning

If you look at the cast of characters in the Firefly Fun House, your initial reaction is to think that each one of them represents a WWE Superstar. But then, as the weeks and months have passed, can you actually imagine The Fiend as the leader of a faction?

The Fiend acts alone and Bray Wyatt is a nice and friendly character, who doesn't command the same presence as the former cult leader once used to!

In fact, if Luke Harper and Rowan were to return back into the fold, it may be a step back instead of one forward, in my opinion. I mean Rowan is doing his own thing, being sick and depraved with a monstrosity he carries in his cage every week. Harper's stock has plummeted and for him to be associated with The Fiend wouldn't be ideal. What faction would Liv Morgan possibly join?

#1 Sister Abigail is an element of Bray Wyatt's past

I strongly recommend that you check out this podcast with Korey Gunz and Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda who offered their own unique take on why Liv Morgan should not be the new member of Bray Wyatt's Firefly Fun House.

One of the major arguments raised was that Sister Abigail is a part of Bray Wyatt's past and not his new and improved persona.

As much as one can call The Fiend an extension of the erstwhile 'classic' character, I think it's safe to say that Wyatt has done much to distance himself from his earlier gimmick. Yes, he's still supernatural but now he's a brand new supernatural being.

It would constantly be looking into the rearview mirror to have Liv Morgan appear as Sister Abigail, I feel. Plus, I do believe it was established that Sister Abigail was Wyatt himself, in a woman's costume.
