Heath Slater was attacked backstage by Drew McIntyre this past week on Raw and could be set to step into a feud with his former teammate following Stomping Grounds. Interestingly, Heath Slater is someone who would have been in front of the queue for the Special Guest Referee spot since he's got kids and needs the money.

Baron Corbin made Heath Slater a referee when he was the Constable of Monday Night Raw and forced him to face his teammate Rhyno in a match where one of them would be forced to leave the company. Rhyno has since left WWE but Slater is still being misused backstage and could be convinced to referee for Baron Corbin this weekend despite the fact that he doesn't have any issues with Rollins.

For Slater, this could be about money and getting a future shot at the Universal Championship, which is enough for anyone on the roster.
