WWE SummerSlam 2020 was a strong pay-per-view, with several top-notch matches, as well as entertaining storylines. The big news following the show is the return of The Big Dog, Roman Reigns, who attacked The Fiend and Braun Strowman after their Universal title match.

SummerSlam also had numerous other interesting storylines, some of which could set off new feuds on RAW and SmackDown in the weeks to come. Some of these feuds could also result in matches at next weekend's Payback pay-per-view, which takes place on August 30.

WWE dropped hints about new feuds in WWE at SummerSlam 2020. Let's take a look at 5 feuds that could start after WWE SummerSlam 2020:

#5 Sasha Banks and Bayley tease split once again at SummerSlam 2020

Sasha Banks lost her title to Asuka at SummerSlam
Sasha Banks lost her title to Asuka at SummerSlam

At SummerSlam 2020, Sasha Banks and Bayley, The Golden Role Models, both defended their RAW and SmackDown Women's titles, against Asuka. But, both of them did not walk out of the show with the titles around their waist.

Bayley defended her title first at the show, but prevailed and retained her title, following some interference from her best friend, Banks. Banks stood up on the apron and tried to distract Asuka, who landed a hip attack on Banks, and this is where Bayley took advantage and got the pin.

But, it didn't work in Banks' favor during her match with Asuka as she fell victim to the Empress of Tomorrow's Asuka Lock, and Banks couldn't get any help from Bayley. Banks was crying in pain when she was put in the Asuka Lock, and was calling for Bayley to help her, but the SmackDown Women's champion did not come to the aid of her best friend.

Banks looked distraught and shocked at her loss, and there seemed to be some underlying tension between the current WWE Women's Tag Team champions when Bayley handed Banks her tag team titles.

There's a possibility that this eagerly awaited feud could kick off at next week's Payback pay-per-view, where The Golden Role Models will defend their tag titles.

#4 Andrade and Angel Garza argue at SummerSlam 2020

Another tag team in WWE that could implode soon is the one led by Zelina Vega. The tag team of Andrade and Angel Garza faced off against RAW Tag Team champions, The Street Profits, at SummerSlam 2020.

The two Mexican Superstars were unsuccessful in winning their first-ever tag team titles in WWE. Things got heated up between the pair following their SummerSlam match, as Andrade, Garza, and Vega were seen arguing following the match.

This was as a result of Vega's unsuccessful distraction, which led to her being bumped off the apron. Andrade went to check up on her, which is when The Street Profits took advantage and pinned Garza.

There has been some dissension between the trio over the last few weeks, and it came to a head at SummerSlam. We could potentially see Vega siding with one of the two RAW Superstars and managing him, and setting up a feud with between Garza and Andrade.

Garza seems to be better on the mic, which means that Vega could side with Andrade. We could potentially see a match between Andrade and Garza in the weeks to come.

#3 Kevin Owens to host Aleister Black on The KO Show on the RAW after SummerSlam

It's a pity that Kevin Owens, one of the most talented performers on WWE RAW, hasn't had much to do in the company over the last few weeks. At SummerSlam, The Prizefighter was a guest commentator during the match between RAW Tag Team champions The Street Profits, and the team of Andrade and Angel Garza.

During the match, Owens announced that The KO Show will return on the RAW after SummerSlam, and invited Aleister Black to the show. Black hasn't been on WWE television since his eye was hurt by Seth Rollins' disciple Murphy, on RAW, a few weeks ago.

Could the RAW after SummerSlam see Kevin Owens turning heel once again? There's a big possibility. RAW currently doesn't have too many top heels, and it's fair to say that Owens is best when he is a heel rather than his current babyface run.

Owens could attack Black to set-up a match, and perhaps even feud with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in the future, who will need new challengers after defeating Randy Orton at SummerSlam.

#2 Roman Reigns to feud with Braun Strowman to determine No. 1 contender for Universal title after SummerSlam

The most surprising thing about WWE SummerSlam 2020 was the return of Roman Reigns, who made his way to the ring out of nowhere and attacked both Braun Strowman and The Fiend.

Reigns, who has been out of action since before WrestleMania 36, showed a ruthless and lethal side of himself at SummerSlam 2020. Some fans have even speculated that this could be WWE hinting at a heel turn for Roman Reigns. While that can be ascertained only after he gets on the mic and tells us why he did what he did, it's quite certain that Reigns will begin to set his sights towards the Universal Championship once again.

WWE could perhaps hold off a Reigns-Fiend match this quickly after his return, and could perhaps keep that on hold for later this year, maybe at Survivor Series. Reigns, who attacked Strowman with numerous chair shots, could perhaps begin a feud with The Monster Among Men, with the winner getting a shot at The Fiend's Universal Championship.

#1 Roman Reigns to challenge The Fiend's Universal Championship after SummerSlam

There's a possibility that WWE could insert Roman Reigns in a feud with the new WWE Universal Champion, The Fiend, immediately after SummerSlam. Reigns, after attacking The Fiend with punches, then proceeded to attack Strowman, before returning to the ring to land a spear on The Fiend.

He then told The Fiend that the Universal Championship "has always been mine" and that The Fiend is "just a freak in a mask".

The story for a feud between The Fiend and Roman Reigns is easy to set. Reigns was the one who was originally supposed to face Goldberg for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 36, and feud with The Fiend following that. Reports had suggested that The Fiend lost his title to Goldberg so that Reigns could win the title from the WCW icon at WrestleMania 36. But, Reigns' absence from The Show of Shows meant that Strowman won the title, before losing it at SummerSlam.

Reigns' sole reign as Universal Champion ended because he had to relinquish the title due to being diagnosed with Leukemia. This is a title that Reigns never lost and he deserves a shot at the title.

Next week's Payback pay-per-view may be too soon for a Reigns-Fiend match, but they could begin their build for the match on the SmackDown after SummerSlam, and perhaps face off at Survivor Series.
