We know that former Universal Champion Seth Rollins will be taking time off after WWE Survivor Series to focus on fatherhood, but for him to eliminate himself 'for the greater good' was just the weirdest development at the very top of the pay-per-view.

There were a million different ways that Seth Rollins could have been written off from WWE Survivor Series, and in fact, someone could have done an angle so that when the Friday Night Savior returned to action, he would have had a readymade feud waiting for him, but what happened at WWE Survivor Series just made everyone in the ThunderDome (metaphorically) scratch their heads in sheer puzzlement.

Maybe it could have been established that because he's only been a part of the SmackDown roster for a limited span of time, he didn't have any sort of allegiance towards his brand.

Or maybe the WWE Survivor Series spot could have been given to someone deserving like, say, Big E.
