Randy Orton and 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt's bizarre rivalry took an interesting turn recently. WWE has announced that both competitors will face each other in the first-ever Firefly Inferno match at the upcoming TLC pay-per-view.

The Inferno match has occurred four times in WWE, and all four of those instances involved Kane. Similar matches have happened at WCW's Great American Bash in 2000 and WWE's SummerSlam event in 2013.

WWE hasn't specified the exact rules for a Firefly Inferno match as of this writing. But when it comes down to this stipulation, there are only a limited number of outcomes (win/loss/draw) for both competitors, no matter how they get there.

Do let us know your theories and predictions for this particular match in the comments section below.

Here are five potential finishes to The Fiend and Randy Orton's 'Firefly Inferno' Match.

#5: A surreal trip through Randy Orton's past ends with The Viper getting burned/pinned at WWE TLC

Fire will definitely be a huge aspect of Randy Orton and The Fiend's match at WWE TLC 2020. However, it is possible that achieving a victory via pinfall or submission could also be applicable in the Firefly Inferno match, just like the Ring of Fire match between Kane and Bray Wyatt from 2013.

Regardless of how the Firefly Inferno match ends between The Fiend and Randy Orton, the word 'Firefly' indicates that it will be somewhat similar to John Cena and Bray Wyatt's Firefly Fun House match from WrestleMania 36.

If that is the case, then one can expect a surreal trip through Randy Orton's mind and his illustrious WWE past, similar to what happened to John Cena at this year's WrestleMania event.

Moreover, Bray Wyatt has potentially foreshadowed that Orton's future will be like that of Icarus, who is the angel with burnt wings in Greek mythology. If not a pinfall finish, could the ultimate arsonist in modern-day WWE - Randy Orton - receive a taste of his own medicine at TLC?

#4: The Fiend gets trapped inside the Firefly Fun House, as Randy Orton burns it to the ground at WWE TLC

The Firefly Fun House gives The Fiend or Bray Wyatt a home-turf advantage over other WWE Superstars. There is no one more familiar with the eccentricities of a match related to the Firefly Fun House other than Bray Wyatt.

So if Randy Orton is booked to win, The Viper probably wouldn't achieve the victory through a straightforward path.

The Fiend is immune to fire, to some extent, as witnessed on the go-home edition of WWE RAW. But would Bray Wyatt's alter-ego be able to escape his fate, if The Apex Predator manages to trap The Fiend inside the Firefly Fun House with no means of escape, especially when it is set on fire?

Everyone's answers to the above question may vary, but there is no denying that it would be one of the few last-minute moves that Randy Orton could make to outmaneuver his long-time rival.

Of course, this wouldn't be the end of their current feud. It should only end with The Fiend winning over Randy Orton, and the same can be accomplished in a relatively normal match at the Royal Rumble event next year.

As for how WWE will explain The Fiend making a comeback after TLC through the aforementioned finish, they don't necessarily need to state anything. Movie monsters often return after being put through situations that would otherwise kill a normal person. The Fiend is not a normal person, and what can't kill The Fiend will only make him stronger.

#3: Both The Fiend and Randy Orton burn together in a vicious cliffhanger at WWE TLC

Apart from Randy Orton or The Fiend winning the Firefly Inferno match, the only other technical outcome at WWE TLC would either be a draw or a no-contest finish.

The go-home edition of WWE RAW before TLC fell down to its lowest rating ever, and things clearly need to change for the Red brand. Perhaps one way to ensure that fans will tune in to the episode of RAW after TLC would be to raise more questions than answers at the upcoming pay-per-view.

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt's feud hasn't lost its momentum yet, and with the ratings at an all-time low, it is possible that WWE won't let the Firefly Inferno match mark the end of one of their most popular rivalries at the moment.

Imagine a figurative beat the clock challenge, with the only objective being to escape the Firefly Fun House before it gets burned to ashes. Not just The Fiend/Bray Wyatt, but Randy Orton could also end up being trapped inside the Firefly Fun House, which is set on fire.

No-contest finishes are generally an easy way out for WWE when it comes to booking huge storylines. But if executed properly, it is also a tool that can ensure that audiences will return to watch the product.

#2: Randy Orton exploits The Fiend's weakness and wins the match at WWE TLC by using Alexa Bliss to his advantage

The reason for Alexa Bliss not appearing on recent WWE RAW episodes is that Bliss is on vacation, and she had it booked months ago. However, she has been featured on a few promotional graphics for The Fiend and Randy Orton's Firefly Inferno match.

The most recent example of the same is WWE's official poster for The Fiend vs. Randy Orton, where Bliss can be seen as well.

It was established not too long ago that taking away Alexa Bliss from The Fiend could be his ultimate weakness. Randy Orton had tested out this theory on the November 30th edition of WWE RAW, and he could execute it to his favor during the Firefly Inferno match.

This is only applicable if Alexa Bliss is somehow a part of their upcoming clash. In such an instance, it would be a missed opportunity for Randy Orton if he doesn't target Bliss.

By exploiting The Fiend's weakness, Orton could open up numerous paths to a potential victory at WWE TLC 2020.

#1: Life is a circle - Alexa Bliss reprises her role from Extreme Rules as a vessel for Sister Abigail and helps The Fiend in defeating Randy Orton at WWE TLC

First and foremost, this slide doesn't claim that Alexa Bliss is the true incarnation of Sister Abigail, which is a WWE theory that has been widely debated numerous times in the past. However, Bliss being a symbolic representation of Abigail for Braun Strowman at WWE Extreme Rules was only a way to manipulate The Monster Among Men into entering Bray Wyatt's trap.

The essence of Sister Abigail has been diminished into smaller pieces such as the aforementioned Alexa Bliss cameo during the Wyatt Swamp Fight, as well as a Firefly Fun House puppet deliberately named, Abby the Witch. Such is the case thanks to The Viper, Randy Orton, who burned Sister Abigail's soul in 2017 by setting fire to Bray Wyatt's sacred compound.

That was a major plot point in their long-term feud, which is why it will probably be revisited in the Firefly Inferno match. Even though Sister Abigail is long gone and she is no longer the focal point of Bray Wyatt's lore, Alexa Bliss could portray a version of that mysterious entity to bring Wyatt and Orton's storyline full-circle.

Bray Wyatt was crushed when Sister Abigail was taken away from him. But The Fiend never forgets, and Orton's grave mistake could come back to haunt The Viper in the form of Bray Wyatt's alter-ego, and Sister Abigail's fiery revenge, in a cinematic match that is all about fire.
