Which is the most talked about wrestling show in WWE? Who is the most talked about wrestler among the WWE circles? What happens when both these forces combine into one at a place like the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia?

Well, you cannot withhold the energy that is flowing inside you. This is what exactly happened at WrestleMania 27- The Rock hosted the Show of Shows and guess what he was not just a host but he came out during the main event and gave the people what they were longing for.

Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler

The King wins it

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler competed at WrestleMania 27 with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special guest referee. Cole was accompanied by Swagger who tried to help Cole during the match but all his efforts went in vain.

Lawler locked in the Ankle Lock and Cole managed to break the hold after struggling for a few minutes. Stone Cold delivered a stunner to Swagger and this took the momentum away from Cole.

Lawler quickly capitalized on the distraction and attacked Cole from behind and pinned him for the win. The anonymous RAW general match wanted the match to be restarted as the GM called Austin a biased referee. The manager declared Cole as the winner by DQ. A pissed off Austin stunned both Booker T and Josh Mathews and this made Jerry do the commentary work for the rest of the night.

Edge vs. Alberto Del Rio

One final time as the World Heavyweight Champion

Edge defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Alberto Del Rio, the winner of 2011 Rumble match. Edge and Del Rio locked horns in the match and put up a great match before the WWE universe. Edge and Del Rio went for their respective signature moves but couldn’t secure the victory.

Edge locked the Edgeucator submission move but Del Rio managed to survive. He later got speared by Edge and eventually lost the match.

This was the last match in Edge’s career as he was not medically cleared by the doctors to compete further. Edge finally vacated the Heavyweight Championship and quit the company.

Randy Orton vs. CM Punk

Orton sets the stage for a DDT

Randy Orton faced CM Punk in a non-title match that lasted for 15 minutes and the stipulation was that Punk's aides, The New Nexus were banned from ringside. Randy's leg was injured prior to the match and Punk put all his efforts to systematically destroy the leg further.

At one point, Randy looked for the Punk kick but the pain was so excruciating that it prevented Orton from doing so. So, Punk tried a GTS but Randy countered it with an RKO attempt. Punk dodged and went to the top rope to try the Springboard clothesline. As was the case with the Viper always, he stunned everyone by delivering an RKO out of nowhere and pinned Punk for the win.

The Miz vs. John Cena

The main event featured a WWE Championship match between the champion, The Miz and John Cena. John initially delivered a 5 Knuckle shuffle and Miz countered an AA attempt from Cena and turned it into a DDT. Miz came back into the match after he hit a Skull Crushing Finale on John but that wasn't good enough for a 3 count. Cena then delivered an AA but Miz kicked out at 2.

The action continued outside the ring and the superstars accidentally knocked each other in the process leading to a double count out. The host of WrestleMania 27, The Rock came out and ensured that the match was restarted as a no count out, no disqualification and no time limit match.

As things went underway, Rock got involved and delivered a Rock Bottom to Cena to seek redemption to what happened on the RAW before WrestleMania. Miz covered Cena and retained the title. The Rock then hit a People's Elbow on Miz and stood tall at the end of the night.

The Undertaker vs. Triple H

The Undertaker and Triple H competed at WrestleMania 27 in a No Holds Barred match. Taker was severely tortured by the 'Game' right from the start. Triple H tried to attack the Phenom with weapons while Taker chose to use his fists to take down Triple H.

The 'Game' delivered a Spinebuster to Taker on the Spanish announce table and followed it up with a Pedigree but the Deadman kicked out at 2. Taker then went for the Chokeslam and a Last Ride but still couldn't get the job done.

Triple H decided to go brutal and used the steel chairs and hit Taker on the head and later delivered a DDT on the chair. Triple H followed it up with yet another Pedigree but once again the Deadman kicked out.

In all, Triple H delivered three Pedigrees and Taker delivered two Piledrivers but none of them could end the match. Taker finally went for a Hell's gate and Triple H tapped out to this thus giving another WrestleMania victory to The Undertaker making his victory quota 19-0 at Mania.
