Stephanie McMahon came onscreen and said that this would be the most unique WrestleMania till date.

The kickoff show saw Cesaro defeat Gulak, among other shenanigans.

We got a montage of all the great musical performances from past years and then a short promo leading up to AC/DC's For Those About To Rock. Rob Gronkowski kicked us off and Mojo Rawley joined in as we headed to the first match of the night.


The Kabuki Warriors (c) vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross - Women's Tag Title match

Alexa and Kairi kicked us off and the challenger was in control early on. Cross tagged in and let herself get double teamed by the champs. Cross sent both opponents outside before Alexa got a near fall on Asuka.

Kairi raked the eyes of Cross which gave them a small advantage. Asuka came in and started striking Nikki. Nikki hit the Twisting Neckbreaker on Asuka but Kairi broke it up.

Alexa Bliss came in and took out Asuka and Kairi and went for the Twisted Bliss. Alexa got the three count and they became the new champs!

Corbin was gloating before the match and Elias came out with a guitar, smashing Corbin in the head with it. They brawled for a bit and ended up in the ring before the match started.

Elias wasted no time as he charged and sent Corbin down to the mat. He followed up with an elbow and a backbreaker before Corbin was able to send Elias outside, allowing him to catch his breath. Corbin recovered quick and sent Elias shoulder-first into the ringpost.

Elias went to the top rope but Corbin avoided the dive and hit the Deep Six for a near-fall. Elias took down Corbin yet again and tried to drag him to the center of the ringbefore rolling him up for the win.

Result: Elias def. King Corbin

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler - RAW Women's Championship match

Becky and Shayna started with body blows, both women trying to hurt each other early on. Shayna bumped Becky's head off the apron but Becky was able to hit her with a Hurricanrana, sending Baszler into the announce tables.

Becky had the Disarmher from the top rope and Shayna reversed it and used the ropes to lock the Kirafuda Clutch. They both had to break before the count. Becky was ready to end it and tried for the Disarmher but Shayna got the Kirafuda Clutch locked. Becky quickly somersaulted over her head to pin Shayna.

Result: Becky Lynch def. Shayna Baszler to retain the RAW Women's Championship

Sami Zayn (c) vs. Daniel Bryan - Intercontinental Championship match

Sami Zayn was wasting time after the match began and kept stepping out of the ring, avoiding the fight. Bryan ran after Zayn and Cesaro and then Shinsuke got in his way. Daniel almost caught him one time before Gulak took out Cesaro and Nakamura and sent them over the barricades.

Out of options, Sami begged Bryan to not hit him in the ring and Bryan went ahead and decimated him. Sami tried leaving the ring and ate a dive and then a missile dropkick. Bryan taunted and slapped Sami, saying he hadn't earned anything before Sami managed to turn things around.

Cesaro and Nakamura recovered and took out Gulak outside, sending him into the steps. Bryan took them out with a Suicide Dive but as he returned to the ring, Sami connected with the Helluva Kick for the win.

John Morrison (c) vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Kofi Kingston - Ladder match for the SmackDown tag titles

Ladders were in the ring already as soon as the match started and Morrison was dominating the early on. His focus was on Jimmy before he turned to Kofi and they reversed each other's moves. Meanwhile, Jimmy Uso tried to go for the titles but Kofi climbed up and headbutted Jimmy down.

Soon enough, Kofi was the only man standing but Jimmy Uso denied him from taking the titles. Kofi sent Jimmy outside before leaping into a ladder and then onto Morrison. Kingston then knocked Uso out by throwing a ladder at him.

After a lot of carnage, Morrison was up on a ladder and Kofi and Jimmy joined him and all three of them took the titles down together. Morrison fell down with the titles and managed to secure the title win for his team.

Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens

Rollins went for the stomp early but couldn't connect. Owens hit a couple of sentons and sent him into the barricades outside. Owens tried to hit Rollins with a Powerbomb but Rollins reversed it with the Falcon Arrow on the apron.

Rollins taunted Owens before unloading on him in the ring. Seth missed the stomp twice and took a DDT.

Owens hit a cannonball and then a senton for a near fall. They traded shots until both men were down. Rollins hit Owens with the timekeeper's bell, ending the match in a DQ.

The match was restarted with No-DQ Stipulation

Owens got on the mic and called Seth a 'little b*tch' and asked to finish the match with no DQ. The bell was rung again and Rollins returned to punish Owens even more. Rollins picked up the steel steps and attacked Owens, smashing his head.

Rollins then got a chair and attacked Owens with it. Owens recovered and broke the ring bell on Seth's head before leaping off the WrestleMania sign and onto the announce table where Rollins was. Owens hit a stunner in the ring and picked up the win.

Result: Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins via DQ

Match rating: A+


Backstage, Mojo Rawley pinned R-Truth for the 24-7 Championship after sabotaging Gronk's attempt at the pin. Clearly their friendship needs some work.

Still backstage, Paul Heyman said Drew McIntyre should be scared about tomorrow.


Goldberg vs. Braun Strowman - Universal Championship match

Goldberg struck first and missed a spear but hit three more for a near fall. Braun picked Goldberg up and hit two Powerslams after a fourth spear. Braun hit the running Powerslam for the win.

Result: Braun Strowman def. Goldberg to become the new Universal Champion

The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles -Boneyard match

We saw AJ Styles arrive in a casket while Taker rode into the 'boneyard' on his motorcycle with Metallica playing. AJ taunted taker and tried to pick up a stone and hit Taker but the Deadman clocked him in the face about a dozen times.

Taker punched a window out of the hearse that AJ rode in before setting him up on the windscreen, dropping him onto it. AJ got some shots in but Taker took him down before the OC showed up.

The doors of a farmhouse opened up and a whole lot of hooded figures came out as the OC attacked The Deadman but Taker powered through.

AJ broke a piece of concrete on Taker from behind and started hitting him. AJ speared Taker through a fence and taunted him, calling him a nobody. AJ sent Taker into the hole he had dug and was about to bury him alive but taker appeared behind him and AJ tried running away. They climbed a building and Taker used his magic fire summoning powers before hitting the tombstone on the OC on the roof.

AJ was Chokeslammed off the roof and Taker said he was just getting started. AJ was apologizing for disrespecting Taker but he thanked AJ for giving him a good fight and kicked him into the pit.

Taker drove the bulldozer and dumped the first on top of AJ and buried him alive before uncovering the gravestone that had AJ's name on it. Taker then got on his bike and left.

A couple of great title changes and the two final matches made this an unforgettable part one of the first ever two-day WrestleMania.
