Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho signed with a rival company, All Elite Wrestling and leads a diverse faction there. He is now a part of fresh storylines which is the biggest reason why he chose AEW over WWE.

In a recent interview with the Swings and Mrs show, Jericho went on to reveal that he didn’t want to be ‘the List guy’ forever. And if he signed with WWE, he would again be forced to work with the same character which leaves little to no room for creative development.

Jericho was quoted saying,

"(I went to) AEW over WWE because if I go back to WWE I know that they're going to want me to be the 'List' guy and it just doesn't feel right anymore. That was a great moment in time, it was awesome, but to go back 2 years later I would feel once again falling into this nostalgia trip which I never want to do."
"The AEW trip was starting from scratch, uncharted waters, we had to get this off the ground - how do you do that? You could make a difference in the history of wrestling."

John Cena reveals why he didn't return to full-time action

WWE Superstar John Cena is occupied with several projects at the moment which prevented him from being a part of SmackDown’s debut show on FOX.

It’s been long since we have Cena in full-time action inside the squared circle. In a recent interview with Sunday Today host Willie Geist, Cena revealed that now it takes him more time to prepare for a fight and an equally long time to recover from the bouts.

But John Cena is content with his limited appearances on WWE as it fetches him a warm welcome from the WWE Universe and makes the moment a lot more special. Discussing the details, he said,

"Now, the opportunities that I’ve been awarded keep me from being in the ring, and I actually think that’s good because it makes any time that I’m invited back to WWE super, super special. And that’s the way it should be, if I didn’t have these opportunities, I still would be taking, actively taking more time off. Because my body just can’t handle the schedule anymore. It’s a lot of performances a year. And I love it so much; I don’t ever want to take time off. I wanna perform. You can essentially take as much time off as you want. "
