About Los Angeles Lakers Roster
The 2023-24 Los Angeles Lakers roster has renewed determination following their Western Conference Finals appearance in the 2023 playoffs. Led by the ageless wonder “King” LeBron James, the Lakers players aim to build on their success and contend for another 2024 NBA championship.
At 39 years old, LeBron James remains the cornerstone of the Lakers roster and a beacon of leadership on and off the court. Alongside him, Japanese forward Rui Hachimura brings the high-energy two-way play to the frontcourt, while Anthony Davis anchors the defense with his dominant post presence. In the starting backcourt of the Lakers roster, D'Angelo Russell does the ball-handling duties with finesse and provides scoring prowess complemented by Austin Reaves’ tenacity and elite floor-spacing ability.
The bench unit of the Lakers roster 2023 features new acquisitions Taurean Prince and Cam Reddish who bolster the Lakers lineup with their great wing defense and valuable three-point shooting. Meanwhile, other newly acquired talents Gabe Vincent and Spencer Dinwiddie step in as the backup point guards, ensuring stable offense and playmaking from the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers lineup. Additionally, Jarred Vanderbilt's elite defense, disruptive presence and hustle make him a valuable asset off the bench. Jaxon Hayes uses his athleticism and finishing ability as a backup big man. Lastly, Christian Wood adds another dimension as a sharpshooting big man to the Lakers lineup.
