Even though this episode of Raw was nothing out of the ordinary, it did further some of the most hyped feuds. Some again failed to get any momentun (The Bellas) and some just continued to be great (Cena-Lesnar).This was certainly a better episode than last week and it had some very promising developements.

#1 Bray Wyatt\'s Character

After a long time, Wyatt got to start the show and not in any ordinary way. He had a steel cage match against Chris Jericho. Their feud hasn’t been the most enthralling and not much was expected in their third clash but they surprised me and how.

It was a great way to start the show and it benefitted Wyatt’s gimmick, something that had gone lacklustre since his feud with Cena. This just had to happen given that Wyatt’s gimmick is considered to be one of the best in the recent past.

#2 The Miz and Damien Sandow\'s character

The Hollywood gimmick has been working really well with the Miz and Damien Sandow. Sandow as his stunt double is an improvement from the plethora of duplicate characters Sandow has been asked to portray. It gets the desired reaction which means getting the laughs.

The Intercontinental Title Picture looks promising given the characters involved the storyline playing out. WWE used the recent iPhone hacking scandal to this feuds advantage.

It isn’t one of the most hyped feuds, neither are they the most hyped superstars but they are doing their job quite well and it has been a better feud for this title in a long, long time.

#3 Cena and Heyman Face Off

I have to say Heyman looks a bit like Alfred Hitchcock. It’s not surprising what Hitchcock is to films, Heyman is to wrestling.

He can repeat the same things every week and still keep everyone’s attention. The same thing can’t be said about John Cena and the material Creative almost always gives him. But he does rise to the occasion when it’s most needed. Heyman and Cena were captivating. It wasn’t as enthralling as their segment before Summerslam, but they did not disappoint.

Lesnar’s gimmick hasn’t suffered at all given his routine absences. It’s precisely because of the performance that Paul Heyman puts forth every week that makes Lesnar so enigmatic

#4 RAW is NXT

There couldn’t be a better way to hype NXT Takeover. Four of its best stars were on Raw in a tag team match. This was a great way to showcase the future. This was Breeze, Zayn and Neville’s debut on the main roster. It isn’t clear if they’ll be there next week but their showing on Raw did get them some new fans. Zayn was the one recieving the best responses until Neville began executing his high risk moves. That got two of the best and most popular stars of NXT some much deserved exposure.

#5 The Apprentice

The main event featured Orton against Reigns inside a steel cage. But what left a lasting image was the attack by the heels. Orton was obviously the veteran and Reigns and Rollins are clearly the stars in waiting.

Rollins looks like a great heel and he seems to be under the tutelage of Orton. Their attack was the main event. Rollins made the most of the time given to him and it seems he is in line to face Reigns at Night of Champions. Dean Ambrose is missed and he is expected to make his presence felt at the Pay Per View. Till then, Rollins is the only highlight reel.
