WWE RAW 7th April 2014- Five Promising Developments

This was the night unlike others. Not only was it the Raw after Wrestlemania, it was day that the WWE creative decided to make the whole WWE Universe aware of the new breed of WWE performers. You see, the veterans did not walk away with the most screen time or most reactions, it was a breed of NXT performers or former NXT performers that shone bright. WWE has finally made way for the future. Here are the five promising development to look out for in the future for the future.

#1 PAIGE! PAIGE! PAIGE!

Wow, this might just be the debut that many wrestling fans were waiting for. As AJ Lee took a microphone and went on about how she made it in the WWE and blah blah blah. Seriously, that is not what people will remember from this segment. It will be remembered for the much awaited NXT Arrival called Paige. An AJ Lee-Paige rivalry has been touted by many fans to possible be an equivalent to Trish-Lita.

And as this is the Raw after Wrestlemania, atleast one title has to change hands and this one did. This is how you end a somewhat historic reign. This is how you establish a promising talent.

#2 The Much Awaited Push

Cesaro is having the much deserved time of his life. He’s finally a singles performer now following the split with Jack Swagger. And just when you thought, this was truly special out comes the grandest surprise of them all- HE IS NOW A PAUL HEYMAN GUY!

Many on the Internet have discussed this and wanted this to happen. Wow! Just Wow! Now that Lesnar is gone for a while (or forever?) Heyman looks set to start a new innings. Wait so does that make Heyman a face now?

#3 Bad News Barrett Barrage

Finally, he made his return to the ring and much like last years raw after Wrestlemania the crowd went nuts for him. He might not be able to continue this momentum as there’s no Raw crowd like a post-Wrestlemania crowd but Barrett’s return to the ring with a new gimmick should be promising given that he has a screen presence unlike failed projects like Ryback.

#4 Wyatts gonna kill you

Well, that was the chant that was so beautiful to hear. Wyatt family were up against two supermans in Sheamus and Cena and another promising talent in Big E. Without a doubt, Big E was the only one in his team who got some positive reaction from the crowd and speaking of which, the crowd was electric in this match. It made this match look so relevant and Bray Wyatt is legit, guys. He is sure to get more followers to follow the buzzards.

#5 The Shield and the G.O.A.T

Okay, so Bryan is not the Greatest Of All Time yet and seeing Austin, Rock and Hogan last night at Wrestlemania, Bryan is not upto that level of fanaticism inducing promo guy but he is certainly the biggest star of this era and hence very much relevant to the history of WWE and the Yes Chants look immortal right now. And to yop all of this momentum was the final picture Raw provided with the Shield and Bryan standing tall after taking down three fourths of Evolution and Kane. That was awesome and the Raw after Wrestlemania lived upto its reputation.
