WWE News: What Happened After SmackDown Live! Went Off the Air?

A Singles match takes place after the airing of SmackDown Live!

Smackdown Live! audiences witnessed a dark match

After tonight’s live broadcast of SmackDown Live! fans were treated to a dark match consisting of a singles competition between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt. Orton defeated Bray by hitting an RKO and pinning him, sending the fans away with smiles on their faces.

A similar singles competition will take place between Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt at the SmackDown-Exclusive PPV, No Mercy. Speaking of No Mercy, Dolph Ziggler will face The Miz in a “Career vs. Title” match at for Miz’s Intercontinental Championship. “The Beauty and the Man-Beast” i.e. Heath Slater and Rhyno will square-off against the Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.  SmackDown Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch will be facing Alexa Bliss for the Women’s title.

Nikki Bella and Carmella will face each other in a singles match, Curt Hawkins will be making his in-ring debut, and John Cena, Dean Ambrose, and AJ Styles will square-off against each other in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE World Championship.

Tonight’s go-home episode of SmackDown Live! faced a real challenge because of yesterday’s really good Monday Night RAW, which saw Sasha Banks become a two-time RAW Women’s Champion in the main event.

However, quite a lot of interesting things took place in tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Randy Orton imprisoned Bray Wyatt in a container, but Bray eventually escaped with help from Sister Abigail. The Miz mocked the low-points of Dolph Ziggler’s career through a mock WWE 24 documentary. John Cena, AJ Styles, and Dean Ambrose faced off each other in a promo at the end of the show, which ended up in all the three contestants attacking each other.

A few other minor segments included a tag team match with the team of Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella go-off against the team of Alexa Bliss and Carmella. The Vaudevillians squared off against The Hype Bros, and Jason Jordan (w/Chad Gable) squared-off against Jey Uso (w/Jimmy Uso) in a singles match, which Jason Jordan won. The Usos attacked Jordan and Gable after the match but Rhyno and Slater came to rescue them.
