The chapter commenced with Jura explaining their reason for visiting Konohagakure. He said that both Hidari and him were merely following the Nine-Tailed Beast chakra's signature, convinced that it belonged to Naruto Uzumaki. However, he was shocked to see that this chakra signature was being emitted by none other than Himawari. This shocked Team 10 since they thought that he was bluffing, but Shikadai Nara instantly reported to the Sensory Unit.

The revelation caused quite the commotion, with Jura attempting to seal Himawari. However, Team 10’s Shikadai and Inojin managed to save Himawari in the nick of time. Jura, while impressed by the young shinobis, also warned them that he would not hesitate to attack them if they got in his way.

Boruto and Kawaki had a brief encounter

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 9 showcased a short yet decisive battle between these two characters. The protagonist and Kashin Koji were seen resting in a lair, which hinted at the potential involvement of Orochimaru in the manga. However, a toad was monitoring the events that were taking place in the village. Boruto was asked to head over and intercept the two new trespassers.

On his way, Boruto made contact with Kawaki. The latter wanted to kill him, initiating an attack. The Black Receiver rods tried to injure Boruto, who managed to dodge them with absolutely no effort.

Kawaki attempted to attack Boruto with his mutated limb, failing in a rather embarrassing manner. Boruto berated Kawaki for the lack of training, leading to the latter activating his Karma Mode. The protagonist fled the scene immediately because his Karma Mode was activated due to resonance, and it seemed like he couldn’t control it.

Jura was true to his word, and he attacked the shinobis immediately. Inojin’s Cartoon Beast Mimicry helped them flee the scene momentarily. However, Jura managed to release a miniature version of Tailed Beast Bomb, causing plenty of destruction all around. This dealt some damage to the lot. However, they were ready to do anything to ensure that Himawari was safe.

During a conversation, Himawari appeared to be frozen, which shocked her comrades. However, it was revealed that she found herself on the Bijuu Plane, or Mental World, at the time. This is a space where only the Tailed Beasts and the in-sync Jinchuriki can communicate. Chapter 9 revealed Himawari looking at a smaller version of Kuramain this panel.

The Tailed Beast was shocked that the Shinju was able to locate his chakra signature. Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 9 ended with Kurama asking Himawari if she knew who he was. Himawari replied with “Nine-Tailed Beast” in a tone that was unsure and nervous.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex chapter 9 revealed some important information. First and foremost, Himawari is now a full-fledged Jinchuriki. Secondly, Kurama has managed to return to the series. However, we don’t know how he managed to stay in Himwari. Another important piece of information in this chapter has to do with Boruto’s abilities. In his current state, he looks like he is stronger than Kawaki, and by a considerable amount.

However, Boruto isn’t in a position to control his Karma Mode. This means Momoshiki could potentially return to the series. Another highlight was the lair where Boruto and Kashin Koji hid. The serpent-like objects in the background and the architecture suggest the potential involvement of Orochimaru as well. It will be interesting to see how the upcoming chapter will drive the plot forward.
