Why Obito has the strongest Mangekyo Sharingan in Naruto

The Mangekyo Sharingan is one Dojutsu that elevates its user’s fighting power levels above its norm. In the Boruto saga, Sarada is at best a Jonin-level fighter, but with the power of her Mangekyo Sharingan, her abilities become Kage-level. Sarada was able to defeat Ryu, a Shinju, without any help; this is a feat that many characters in the series have struggled to do.

Obito and Sasuke are other characters who have seen a monumental increase in ability in Naruto. Sasuke went toe to toe with Killerbee, a Kage-level ninja, and he won due to the Mangekyo Sharingan. Obito used one eye of his Mangekyo Sharingan and overpowered various Hidden Stone ninjas.

While the Mangekyo Sharingan is extremely powerful, it is not without its drawbacks. One of the biggest drawbacks is the Chakra cost. The Dojutsu requires a lot of chakra for it to be used, and new users can pass out from exhaustion. The Mangekyo Sharingan also causes blindness when overused, and this is one of the biggest pitfalls of the Dojutsu.

However, Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan seemed free of those pitfalls. He was able to use the space-time ability of his Mangekyo Sharingan, and he never looked exhausted. His sight also remained intact for most of the series, and it never looked like he was going to lose his eyes at any point.

Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan made him nearly unbeatable in most of Naruto. His Kamui allowed him to teleport anything, no matter the size or speed, making his space-time powers the strongest in the series. He could also turn intangible, letting attacks pass through him while still moving in on his enemies. This made him extremely hard to defeat.

Obito’s Mangekyo Sharingan might not be as flashy as Itachi’s Tsukyomi, Sasuke’s Susanoo, or Shisui’s Kotoamatsukami, but its toll is less when compared to them.
