Sorry Boruto fans, but you’ll regret Kakashi’s return to the manga when it comes

The Boruto Saga picks up from where Naruto left unhindered, and it has been going smoothly so far. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations and Two Blue Vortex have carved a place for themselves as manga, as their stories are similar to Naruto, but are still different.

This is not commonplace in the world of manga, as most stories continue in a linear fashion with character changes. There are some exceptions, like Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, where the series has undergone many changes, one of them being its power system.

The biggest change in the Boruto saga has to be the introduction of the alien race—the Otsutsuki. With the Otsutsuki’s arrival, there has also been a prevalence of Shinjutsu.

The Shinju have also made their mark and are currently the biggest threat in Two Blue Vortex. Due to their presence, several rules and boundaries in the Shinobi world are being shifted. One of the big shifts is the Hokage collaborating with a criminal, Boruto.

Shikamaru has been the Hokage ever since Two Blue Vortex started, and he has been breaking several laws.

The first law he broke was when he convinced Ino to connect him with Boruto mentally, and the next one he broke was telling Mitsuki to free Boruto from captivity. His actions have raised suspicion with some ninja, and he is bound to be outed.

The most likely person to take his place would be Kakashi, whose return won’t be rosy.

Kakashi won’t take it lightly with the supposed criminal who took the life of his beloved student.

Shikamaru working with the young Uzumaki would further aggravate Kakashi, and due to the copy ninja’s hard approach, he might imprison Shikamaru. Here are more reasons why Kakashi’s return would infuriate fans.

Why Kakashi’s return in Boruto might not be pleasant

Using nostalgia in its storytelling is not a new thing for the Boruto saga. Since it began, various characters have made appearances—both major and minor. These characters serve as a reminder to viewers that they are still in the Narutoverse.

They are also a brilliant way of showing viewers how much the Shinobi world has changed through these characters' eyes.

Many characters struggle to maintain their sense of self in this world, as they are constantly overwhelmed by forces beyond their control.

One of those characters who is famed for their pragmatism, but will struggle with the modern world, is Kakashi. Many of his struggles will be tied to the state of Shinobi, and the rest will be with loss.

Kakashi is one of the saddest characters in the entire Narutoverse, but he looks liberated after the events of Naruto Shippuden come to a close.

His guilt over Rin and Obito’s deaths dissipated, as he was able to confront his demons.

His students also grew to be strong. However, all that has been shaken with the advent of the Otsutsuki and the Shinju, who have shaken and toppled the balance of the Shinobi world.

To Kakashi, Boruto has taken advantage of Konoha’s goodwill and murdered his student, Naruto. If Kakashi finds out that a Konoha Shinobi conspired with an outsider, the consequences might be grave.

The copy ninja doesn’t take it lightly toward anyone who hurts Konoha. He is also smart enough to properly seek out the young Uzumaki and flush from his hiding spot.

Final thoughts

Eventually, Kakashi will find out that Boruto is innocent; the only problem will be the aftermath of his actions. Konoha’s only connection to Kashin Koji will be severed, as Kakashi might not want to work with a member of Kara.

Daemon, the brother of Eida, might have to step in to protect his sister from the resulting harm or discomfort that is bound to come her way.
