Re:ZERO season 3 episode 9 will air on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:30 pm JST in Japan. It will be broadcast on AT-X, TOKYO MX, and other Japanese television channels. The episode will be available to stream on Crunchyroll shortly after its release for fans outside Japan.

Episode 8 of Re:ZERO season 3 served as the perfect conclusion to the Attack arc, setting up Subaru and his group's retaliation against the Witch's Cult. While a major part of the episode was mostly focused on setting up the battles of the Counterattack arc, it ended with Subaru and Reinhard finally confronting Regulus Corneas, teasing one of the most highly anticipated battles of the series.

Episode 8 of Re:ZERO season 3, titled Someone I'll Love Someday, started with Subaru and his allies discussing their strategy to fight back against the Sin Archbishops of the Witch's Cult. As they were discussing the Witch's Cult's demands, Otto Suwen revealed that he had the Tome of Wisdom with him at Priestella, which he had apparently stolen from Roswaal L. Mathers, since he didn't trust him.

On the other hand, Priscilla, who arrived with Liliana and Schult, declared her intent to join Subaru and his group in their fight against the Witch's Cult, despite Al's protests. Wilhelm van Astrea then came to inform Subaru that Crusch had requested his presence. Following their brief fight against Capella Emerada Lugunica, half of Crusch's body was afflicted by Capella's Dragon Blood, which left her in a critical condition.

Afterward, the episode saw Wilhelm reveal to Subaru the identities of the two Cultists they had previously fought, with one of them being the previous Master Swordsman and Wilhelm's wife, Theresia van Astrea, who was supposed to be dead. He told Subaru not to mention anything about Theresia's return to Reinhard.

Re:ZERO season 3 episode 8 then saw Priscilla declaring her intent to fight against Sirius Romanee-Conti alongside Liliana, whose singing could break Wrath's spell. Subaru then assigned Wilhelm and Garfiel to the First District, where Capella and most of the enemy forces would likely be.

Following this, Subaru told Reinhard that he would be fighting Regulus Corneas alongside him, which left Julius and Ricardo to handle the Sin Archbishops of Gluttony. With Subaru declaring their preemptive victory against the Witch's Cult, the focus of the episode shifted to Emilia, whose wedding with Regulus Corneas was already underway.

Although the ceremony began with Regulus laying out several rules that would reduce her to a mere servant for him, Emilia decided to speak out and tell him about her views on love. Emilia boldly declined to be his wife, and claimed that although she was not ready for marriage yet, she knew who she would marry once she was, with that being none other than Subaru Natsuki.

As Regulus became furious at Emilia's words and prepared to kill her, Subaru and Reinhard arrived at the scene, knocking down the door and announcing their arrival. With this, the episode came to an end.
