Griffith was born into a poor family and struggled to get food, but his ambition was very high. He wanted to have his own kingdom, where he ruled and provided food for the poor. When he was a child, he received a crimson pendant from a stranger, also known as Behelit, which is said to signify its “King of the World.”

Role of Griffith in Berserk

At first, Griffith played the role of one of the main protagonists of the Berserk series as he formed a Band of the Hawks group, which is a well-renowned mercenary group that fights demons. Casca and the main protagonist of the series, Guts, joined his group, but after he is reborn as a Femto during the Eclipse arc, he becomes the fifth member of the God Hand, who is known as one of the most powerful groups in the entire Berserk series.

When Griffith transformed into Femto, he became one of the main antagonists who even caused mental damage to Casca when he slaughtered so many Band of the Hawks members.

Griffith was reborn as Femto during the Eclipse, a sacrificial ceremony where he was chosen to become the fifth member of the God Hand.
