Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 9, released on April 19, 2024, unveiled Himawari as Kurama's jinchuriki. This could indicate how she could be equal in strength to the strongest characters in the series, making her a big powerhouse.

With the power of the nine-tailed fox, she could become a sign of danger for the enemies of the Hidden Leaf Village. But she could also become the reason for ending the biggest conflict between Boruto and Kawak that started at the climax of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

This could be a throwback to the Naruto series, in which Sakura also had the duty to end the conflict between his two teammates but failed to do so. In Himawari's case, however, things could turn out differently as she possesses power equal to that of her brothers.

In chapter 9, Himawari was declared the next jinchuriki of Kurama after Jura and Hidari came across her sensing the nine-tail's chakra. They had a little conflict, but the InoShikaCho group saved Himawari. While fleeing, Himawari saw a baby Kurama inside the tailed-beast mental plane.

The chapter also continued the conflict between Kawaki and Boruto. The latter had to return to the village because his sister was in danger. However, Kawaki was waiting for his arrival and tried to take him down with his black receiver chakra rods.

Boruto evaded them and punched Kawaki, mocking how he hadn't trained in the last four years. Kawaki activated his Karma for round 2, but the protagonist fled because he didn't want to use his Karma and risk Momoshiki taking over him.

Himawari, now with the power of, arguably, the strongest tailed beast, could become a key part of the plotline of the series. More specifically, she could get involved in the conflict between Kawaki and Boruto and try to resolve it for the betterment of her brothers.

Sakura was a part of the Team 7 of Naruto. Alongside Naruto, she was also responsible for bringing back Sasuke and resolving their conflicting thoughts. Unfortunately, she could have been too weak to do so, even though she was one of the strongest female characters of the series.

These two later resolved their conflicts through their fists. In Himawari's case, things could turn out differently because not only could she be more powerful than Sakura, but she is also not biased towards one of her brothers, as Sakura was towards Sasuke.

Final thoughts

Kawaki's resentment towards Boruto came from the fact that Momoshiki could awaken anywhere inside Boruto and kill Naruto, Kawaki's savior. Kurama could be a big source of energy for activating the chakra tree, which could be why the Otsutsuki clan members, including Momoshiki, are after Kurama.

Kawaki has no idea that Kurama was reborn inside the body of Himawari, and this could make the situation in the upcoming chapters more complicated than fans think. So, take this article with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation of everything that was speculated here.
