Anthony Silva is an American infielder who has just played his second year of college with the TCU Horned Frogs. Silva started playing high school baseball at Clark High School where he was a two-time second-team academic all-district. In his prep career, he appeared in 104 career games and batted .407 with 86 RBIs. In the 2022 draft, Silva was ranked the No.74 overall prospect by Perfect Game. He was also rated as the best high school defensive infielder.

After finishing high school, Silva decided to forego the 2022 MLB Draft to play for Texas Christian University. The shortstop from San Antonio had a breakout freshman campaign where he started all 61 games in 2023. Silva held a .330/.416/.471 slash line with 75 hits, 11 doubles, seven homers, and 50 RBIs during his rookie campaign. His contribution to TCU in 2023 led him to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team. The following season as a sophomore, Silva regressed on the plate as he slashed .268/.369/.384 with 51 hits, 10 doubles, four home runs, and 33 RBIs. The draft-eligible sophomore was ranked one of the top shortstop defenders in the 2022 draft class so it's unclear where he may fall in the 2024 MLB Draft.
