The Auburn Tigers men's basketball team represents Auburn University and competes in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). It was founded in 1906 and has won three SEC tournament titles and six conference regular-season titles. It has made 14 appearances in the NCAA tournament and advanced to the Final Four in 2019.

The Tigers has had 98 players selected to the All-SEC team, while 13 players have been named All-Americans. Jabari Smith, the highest-ever pick (3rd overall) taken in Auburn's history, is one of the 35 NBA draft selections that Auburn has produced. Charles Barkley and Chris Porter, two players from Auburn, were awarded SEC Player of the Year in 1984 and 1999 respectively. Eight head coaches have been chosen as the SEC Coach of the Year for Auburn.

Bruce Pearl joined as the Auburn Tigers men's basketball team's head coach in 2014. He has led the Tigers to its first-ever No. 1 rating in national surveys and a NCAA tournament Final Four appearance in 2019. The three-time SEC Coach of the Year has helped his team win two regular-season SEC championships, two SEC tournament championships, and achieve five NCAA tournament spots. Pearl is ranked 12th among active NCAA Division I coaches with 662 career wins and 46th all-time, according to the Auburn Tigers' website.

Associate Head Coach

Steven Pearl joined the the Auburn Tigers men's basketball team in 2011 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2023. Under his father Bruce's guidance, Steven was named one of the 50 most-impactful high-major assistant coaches in NCAA Division I by Silver Waves Media in 2023 and 2024. During his time at Auburn, six NBA draft selections have emerged, more professionals than in the preceding 20 years, as per the Auburn Tigers official website.

Assistant Coaches

Ira Bowman is in his sixth season as Bruce Pearl's assistant coach at Auburn, as of March 2025. MCA.com ranked him as one of the top 5 high-major assistant coaches in college basketball in the past. He joined the Auburn Tigers men's team after spending six seasons at University of Pennsylvania under head coach Steve Donahue.

Corey Williams, a 23-year coaching veteran who played for the Chicago Bulls, is in his first season at Auburn, as of March 2025. He was an assistant coach and also an interim head coach at Texas Tech University in 2023 and 2024.

Chad Prewett, who joined the Auburn Tigers in 2015, has won 10 state titles in high school basketball during his coaching career. In August 2023, he was promoted to assistant coach at Auburn.
