The Jacksonville State Gamecocks is a college football team representing the Jacksonville State University, competing in Conference USA (C-USA). The football program was established in 1904 and claimed one national championship in 1992. They play their home games at Burgess-Snow Field in Jacksonville, Alabama, with a seating capacity of 24,000. The Gamecocks have won 25 conference championships and helped numerous players to the NFL. The team is known for its dynamic offense approach and has been led by head coach Rich Rodriguez since 2022. The Gamecocks embrace the Red and white colors, and fans chant the ‘Marching Southerners’ to show their support. Jacksonville State Gamecocks' biggest rivals are Samford and Troy Trojans.
