Jacob Knuth is a quarterback representing Kansas State University. He previously played two seasons for the Minnesota Gophers. Harrisburg High School in South Dakota unlocked Knuth’s brilliance, he was ranked as the top prep player in the whole of South Dakota by 247Sports, ESPN, and On3. Since high school, Knuth has always been on the trajectory of a leader. As a senior, he notably led the Harrisburg Tigers to their first-ever 11AAA state championship. His performance on the field earned him the big title of Gatorade Player of the Year for South Dakota, turning in 2,413 passing yards and 26 touchdowns on the field. Knuth was a highly-rated recruit, primarily from the standpoint of athleticism and leadership. He had multiple offers from other programs but ultimately decided to commit to Kansas State Wildcats in hopes of getting more opportunities.

Despite all the ability and promise he had shown in high school, Knuth didn't get enough chances to showcase his skills with the Minnesota Gophers, and therefore he redshirted his freshman year back in 2022. Knuth expects to have a major role with Kansas State over the next few seasons. He brings physique, power, and athleticism into the Wildcats' mix. Even though he has yet to play in a game at the collegiate level, he still stands as a young talent for the future of the Wildcats who still has four years of eligibility. The high school all-state honoree and captain of the Argus Leader Elite 45, Knuth is a prospective player to watch in the seasons ahead for the Wildcats.
