1999: India knock hosts out of the World Cup

England and India faced off in the 25th fixture of the 1999 World Cup in Edgbaston, Birmingham as England captain Alec Stewart won the toss and put India into bat.
Sadgopan Ramesh and Sourav Ganguly got India off to a top start courtesy of a 49-run stand until Rahul Dravid walked in at Ramesh's dismissal. Riding on Rahul Dravid's 53 and a 30-ball 39 run cameo from Ajay Jadeja, India got to 232/8 from their allotted 50 overs on a difficult pitch for batting.
England were reduced to 13/2 very early in the innings before Nasser Hussain (33) and Graham Thorpe (36) steadied the innings. However, Ganguly removed both the well-set batsmen as the middle-order failed to stand up to the occasion.
In the end, Sourav Ganguly's 3/27 and a couple of wickets for Javagal Srinath, Debasis Mohanty and Anil Kumble sealed the deal in India's favor.
2003: India bowl out England under the lights

The Englishmen were bundled out for a score of just 168, handing India an 82-run win.
Batting first, India scored 250 in their 50 overs with half centuries from Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. However, the night belonged to Nehra who announced himself of the big stage by picking up six wickets.
2011: An exciting tie

Batting first, India, riding on Sachin Tendulkar's 120 scored 338 in their 50 overs. Despite Tendulkar's top show, India lost their last seven wickets for just 33 runs in 25 balls that significantly brought down the final score.
England skipper Andrew Strauss scored a brilliant 158 and England were comfortably placed at 281-2 in 42.4 overs. However the dismissal of Ian Bell (69) and skipper Strauss triggered a collapse as England too managed 338 in their 50 overs.
