We felt this was the right course of action and is in the best interests of each other and our current lives. This is something that has evolved and is a mutual decision. Throughout our relationship, we have remained private and we ask that our space and privacy continue to be respected during this difficult time for both of us.”

Just within a year after filing for divorce, the couple sold their house in Melbourne for $2.7 million and earned a great deal of profit for the $1.7 million they had invested in buying the house back in 2014.

After two years of divorce with professional Australian soccer and cricket player, Ellyse Perry, Matt To'omua has opened up about their split-up. He faced a hard time on social media after the ex-couple had announced their break-up.

He mentioned that the divorce turned really bitter and he hadn't talked to Ellyse Perry for more than a year.

He explained, "It was tough, not fun. Not fun at all. It sucked. You can see why it breaks people. I’m very lucky that I’ve found someone now who’s amazing, but at the time, it was brutal.” To’omua said he was “very fortunate” that he didn’t have children with Perry because it would have made for a complicated split.

“In terms of divorces, it was a good one in the sense of the separation of those things. The one unique thing being it was public,” To'omua said.

“Getting sprayed while I’m goalkicking or getting abused on some social media platform isn’t great, but they’re minor things.”

It seems like the Australian Rugby star has moved on as he confirmed he is soon to marry forensic psychologist, Naomi Cameron.

Adding to this, the soon-to-be-married couple also bought a house in South East Melbourne, To'omua shared pictures of posing with the house along with his lady love.
