After an intense 2 months, the 12th edition of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 ended with the host nation, England, lifting their first World Cup trophy after a nail-biting final against New Zealand. Known to be a prolific all-rounder, Stoinis entertained the fans with his fielding skills at the event. Playing 8 matches, he saved 27 runs in the field. He saved 19 runs while fielding inside the ring whereas the rest 8 runs were saved at the boundary line.

Neesham had taken a wonderful catch to dismiss India’s Dinesh Karthik while fielding at point. The all-rounder had a great edition of World Cup 2019 as he stood 4th in the list of players who saved the most number of runs in the mega-event. He saved 28 runs in the field in just 10 matches. Jimmy saved 18 runs while fielding inside the 30-yard circle whereas the rest 10 runs were stopped in the outfield.

Glenn Maxwell has been one of the star fielders of the Australian side. He is a cricketer, who is ready to dive at any place for saving the runs. His reflex actions have been brilliant which was clearly seen in the 12th edition of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The Big Show finished as the 3rd highest run saver of the tournament.

Maxwell showed off his exceptional fielding skills during their game against Pakistan. His ultimate run out won the game for his side and even in the match against West Indies, he had taken a fantastic catch to dismiss Andre Russell.

Despite being a part of the playing XI in just 2 matches, Jadeja secured the 2nd position in the list of most runs saved by a fielder in the tournament. The boy from Gujarat saved 41 runs in the 2019 World Cup which showcases how agile and sharp he is on the field.

Out of those 41 runs, 24 runs were saved at the inner ring whereas he stopped 17 runs at the boundary line. These numbers prove that he is one of India’s best fielder at any position.

The moment which broke the hearts of all the Indian fans was the run out of MS Dhoni during the 1st semi-final of ICC World Cup 2019. Martin Guptill’s brilliant pick up and throw from the boundary line ended India’s campaign. MS Dhoni had to depart after the ball directly hit the stumps with the batsman being just inches out of the crease.

However, this was not the only occasion where Guptill’s fielding only came into the spotlight.The Kiwi opener struggled with the bat in the 2019 World Cup, but he topped the list of most runs saved by a fielder in the mega-event.

He saved 48 runs for his team that too after the deduction of the 5 runs he conceded via overthrows. Guptill had saved all the 53 runs while fielding in the inner ring for New Zealand.
