Remnant 2 can be an extremely challenging game at times. It is one of the few soulslike shooters out there, and if there's one aspect the genre is famous for, it's the difficulty. Much like other soulslike titles, Remnant 2 will also throw a ton of challenging enemies at you. If you're new to the genre, you might struggle to work your way around the intricacies of this title.

To that end, we have listed five of the best combat tips and tricks for Remnant 2 to help you have an easier time in-game.

Here are 5 best combat tips and tricks for Remnant 2

1) Use Stamina detection to your advantage

In this game, your stamina bar will never go down unless you're in a fight with an enemy. This essentially means you can infinitely run around the map as long as you don't make any enemies aware of your presence and get drawn out into a gunfight.

While this may not look like much, you can actually get a lot of use out of your infinite stamina. Anytime you spawn in a new area, you can run around, scout out the surroundings, and get a read on surrounding threats. This will make things a lot simpler, and enemies won't catch you by surprise anymore.

2) Never spam the dodge button

Although there is tons of armor in Remnant 2, the game gives you the option to dodge incoming enemy attacks so tanking attacks isn't the only strategy available. However, each dodge takes a sizeable toll on your stamina bar, so spamming the dodge button can quickly leave you out to dry. Even a single hit from some enemies is enough to put you out of commission.

So, always save just enough of your stamina for one final dodge. Some hits can even have a kind of snowball effect, where one hit will leave you vulnerable to a world of pain and eventually force you to reset. Enemies have tells and specific timings you should aim for if you need to dodge. Spending more time to grasp the dodge mechanic will make a world of difference on your journey.

3) Make sure you have Weapon Mods equipped

You will get access to weapon mods shortly after starting the game. These can completely alter the effects of your gun and provide a huge advantage over your opponents. Some mods will allow you to shoot out healing clouds from your gun, while others enable setting your enemies on fire with bullets alone.

Weapon Mods are also easily swappable and can be equipped across most guns. So, you should definitely spend some time trying out different weapon mods.

4) Pay Attention to Relic Fragments

You will often pick up new Relic Fragments during your time in-game. Now, given the lack of a comprehensive explanation, you may miss them and assume they're automatically working. However, Relic Fragments must be manually equipped if you want to properly optimize your build.

Heading over to your inventory and selecting the Relic will give you a view of all the Fragments you have available. If this is your first time opening this screen, take your time to figure out which Fragments give you the buffs that will help in combat. To avoid missing out on any important buffs, make a habit of paying more attention to your Relic Fragments.

5) Be aware of your Weapon's range

All weapons in Remnant 2 have an effective range. If out of range, your bullets will start to drop off, and you'll be dealing less damage. So, knowing your weapon's range is extremely important before stepping into battle. You can head over to Ward 13 and test out your weapon's firing range inside the shooting range.

However, since there are no accurate measurements, spend some time fighting enemies to get a good grasp on the effective range of your weapons. It is always best to stay in range for maximum damage and easy kills.
