Game of Thrones War for Westeros: Everything we know so far

The new GoT title is being developed by PlaySide and will be a real-time strategy game. While many had hoped for an open-world action RPG, this game is more about tactical battles and unique strategies. Players will get to command various factions such as House Stark and House Lannister.

In the title, players can control massive armies, with the goal being to take control of the Seven Kingdoms through legendary battles. They will be able to fight solo in a story mode or battle others in online multiplayer.

The cinematic trailer during the Summer Game Fest 2025 main event showed Jon Snow being killed and turned into the White Walker, setting a dramatic tone for the lore. The Steam page and trailer confirm locations such as the King's Landing and The Wall as part of the battlefield.
