2) David Moyes’ weak start could mean another long season for the Black Cats

David Moyes has a lot to do at Sunderland to win the respect of their fans

Since the 2011-12 season when Sunderland finished 13th with 45 points, it has been a battle for survival for the seasons to come thereafter. With many close escapes, the greatest come came last season when The Black Cats pulled off the ‘Great Escape’ under Sam Allardyce and earned the bragging rights after rivals Newcastle were dramatically eliminated.

However, this season is slowly looking to be another fight for survival after their loss to Premier League newbies Middlesbrough. Moyes and his men were booed at the half-time whistle and will have to improve considerably to survive this season.
