Bayern Munich inching closer to signing Alexis Sanchez

Although Arsenal have placed a new £275,000 per week contract on the table for Alexis Sanchez, Bayern Munich are reportedly close to landing the Chilean. Daily Mirror reports that the player's representatives are in Munich to discuss the financial aspects of the deal. Arsenal do not want to sell him to their direct rivals, Manchester City, which has benefitted the Bavarians.

Borussia Dortmund shortlist names for the manager post

After sacking Thomas Tuchel, Dortmund officials are working overtime to land a suitable face to take over the reins. Bundesliga.com has reported that three men are in the race to secure the hot seat at Westfalenstadion. The list includes former Dortmund great Paulo Sousa who won the Champions League with them in 1997. The other two are impressive Ajax manager, Peter Bosz and the current Feyenoord boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst who won the Dutch League this season.
