Higuain to Chelsea?

Welcome to our daily transfer round-up. As always, we’ve compiled some of the best transfer rumours doing the rounds today. German newspaper Bild have revealed the contract details of Manchester United’s next signing, whilst Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to battle it out for a Brazilian star.

Liverpool are in the transfer market for another young midfielder, and Atletico Madrid want to sign a Chelsea star.

Here are the transfer rumours doing the rounds on July 4th:

Milik to Juventus?

- Chelsea are interested in signing another striker after announcing the deal for Michy Batshuayi. According to AS in Spain, Chelsea are ready to splash the cash for Napoli star Gonzalo Higuain, and are even prepared to meet his release clause of around €94m.

- Inter Milan are interested in signing former Liverpool star Fabio Borini, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The Sunderland player is an option for the Serie A club should they fail to sign Lazio star Antonio Candreva.

- It’s not clear if Juventus will be looking to sign a new striker after the departure of Alvaro Morata, but they definitely will be forced to look for one should Simone Zaza also leave. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have Ajax forward Arkadiusz Milik on their wishlist should Zaza also leave the club this summer.

English Premier League

Ruben Neves to Liverpool?

- After failing to agree a deal for Piotr Zielinski and Mahmoud Dahoud, it appears Liverpool are now turning their attention towards Ruben Neves. According to DN Sports, Porto are in a financial mess, and would consider the sale of Neves. His agent, Jorge Mendes, is already trying to work out a deal for his exit, whilst DN sports believe Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the player. It is reported Porto want €20m for the player.

- West Ham are prepared to make a €20m bid for Tottenham’s target Vincent Janssen, reports De Telegraaf. However, Janssen has made it very clear that he wants to sign for Tottenham, and has already rejected Paris-Saint Germain.

- German newspaper Bild believe they’ve got the details of the contract of Manchester United’s latest signing Henrikh Mkhitaryan. It is reported the Armenian international will receive a signing bonus of €8m, wages of €12.5m per year, and the transfer fee is around €40m.

Costa to go back to Rojiblancos?

- Diego Simeone is very keen on bringing back Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid. According to AS, Costa is a step closer to return after Chelsea announced a deal for Michy Batshuayi, and would follow it with an offer for Gonzalo Higuain. Chelsea would only consider a sale for Costa after signing two strikers.

- Barcelona star Thomas Vermaelen could decide his next destination this week. The Belgian international has offers from Liverpool, West Ham, Inter, AC Milan, Naples and Besiktas, reports Mundo Deportivo. It is reported Barcelona want €10m for Vermaelen.

- According to Spanish daily AS, Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to go head to head in the transfer market for Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus. Earlier, reports have also linked the player with a move to Juventus and Inter.

- Barcelona have confirmed the deal to buy back Denis Suarez from Villarreal, with the 22-year-old signing a four-year contract. Barcelona parted with €3.25 million to sign the midfielder back, and have inserted a €50 million buyout clause in his contract.

Praet to Southampton or Sevilla?

- Anderlecht star Dennis Praet is looking for an exit, with just one year left on his contract, According to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are favourites to sign him, but his agents are working to close a deal with Southampton.

- Aston Villa and Sunderland are interested in signing Bordeaux defender Frederic Guilbert, reports France Football. The 21-year-old has just one year left on his existing deal, and is ready to switch clubs this summer.

- Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas, has revealed the club are hoping to finalize a deal for highly rated Argentine defender Emanuel Mammana to replace Samuel Umtiti, who left for Barcelona.
