Welcome to our daily transfer rumours round-up. Premier League’s new season kicks off just 2 days from now with teams busy in signing their first choice targets.

Today’s biggest news comes from Emirates where Arsenal are linked with Shkodran Mustafi and Riyad Mahrez. Despite concrete link-ups, Gunners face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United to complete their intended targets.

On that note, here are the most popular transfer news and rumours doing the rounds on August 10th.

Serie A

- AC Milan have made Boca Juniors midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur their primary target and have submitted a €15 million bid for him. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have offered Bentancur a five-year contract worth €1.5m a year and are waiting for a reply from Boca Juniors.

- Sky Italia are convinced that AC Milan’s star striker Carlos Bacca has decided to stay with the club after becoming convinced by new coach Vincenzo Montella’s training system. Bacca has been a long-term target for West Ham but the Colombian star is contemplating a Serie A stay.

- Juventus are eyeing Moussa Sissoko as the ideal replacement for Paul Pogba, according to Calciomercato. Sissoko is valued at €35million and is also a target for Real Madrid. Sissoko is keen to quit Newcastle United this summer and has asked the Magpies to receive any bid that comes their way.

Bundesliga

- Hertha Berlin have ended their interest in signing Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry on loan. According to SportBild, Bundesliga side were keen to sign Gnabry on a season-long loan deal but Arsenal’s resistance has forced Hertha Berlin to re-consider their options.

- Shkodran Mustafi’s agent has come out to confirm that no agreement has been reached between player and Arsenal. Speaking with Kickr, agent Ali Bulut said: “There are discussions but there’s no agreement between Mustafi and Arsenal, or between both clubs.”

- FC Twente forward Hakim Ziyech could be a Borussia Dortmund player by the end of the week, according to Voetbal International. Borussia Dortmund face competition from Everton, AS Roma, Fenerbahce and Anderlecht for the signing of Dutch attacker.

- Arsenal are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Shkodran Mustafi and Valencia by the end of the week. According to Times, Mustafi is certain to quit Valencia and will cost Arsenal close to €30million. Arsenal have three first team defenders out injured at the moment which has further accelerated Mustafi's arrival at Emirates.

- West Ham have signed Argentina striker Jonathan Calleri on a season-long loan from Uruguay's Deportivo Maldonado. The 22-year-old represented his country, who were eliminated in the group stage, at Rio 2016 and will arrive in London next week.

- Arsenal have submitted a new €35million bid for Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez and are hopeful of completing a deal by the end of the week. L’equipe are certain that Mahrez wants to join a bigger club this summer and his preferred destination is Arsenal. Arsene Wenger is ready to splash on the cash on Mahrez who managed 17 goals and 11 assists last season.

- Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is set to miss the Spanish Super Cup amid a concrete interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City. Although the Catalan press claims that Ter Stegen will miss the game due to an injury but Marca claims that Pep Guardiola’s concrete interest has swayed goal keeper’s minds in recent weeks.

- Swansea have completed Borja Baston’s signing from Atletico Madrid. The 23-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Welsh side, and will be their record signing having gone for a fee in the region of €18million.

- Out of favour Barcelona midfielder, Arda Turan has suggested on social media that he would be keen to join Real Madrid this summer. The Turkish star was seen favouring several of Madrid’s posts on Twitter which enraged Barcelona’s set of supporters. Real Madrid are still looking to sign a midfield star this summer after seeing Paul Pogba sign for Manchester United.

Ritchie De Laet might be on the move from Leicester to seek more playing time

- Celtic are interested in signing Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Dorus de Vries, according to a report. The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic are eyeing a move for de Vries, who has been at Forest since 2013 and was voted the club’s Player of the Season in 2015-16.

- According to The Sun, Aston Villa are set to complete the signing of Leicester City defender Ritchie De Laet in a £2.5m deal. De Laet, 27, won Premier League title last season but is currently second favorite to Danny Simpson and is ready to quit King Power Stadium this summer.
