Fortnite's Instagram teases revealed four playable characters, each with a unique name and cosmetic package. They will be a part of the upcoming Battle Pass as they suit the season's concept of the future quite well.

Highwire, Imani, Mizuki, and Thunder have all been given prominent roles in various Fortnite teasers and will each have their own story arc connected to the Mega City POI.

2) Attack on Titan Collaboration

Another major highlight of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 early patch notes is the upcoming collaboration with the famous anime series Attack on Titan, which is currently going viral with its final ongoing season. Following the success of collaborations with Naruto, Dragon Ball, and My Hero Academia, having another well-liked anime character in the game is a no-brainer.

Eren Yeager, the series' titular character, will be featured as a secret Battle Pass skin that players can unlock with accompanying cosmetics upon completing a series of quests. However, other characters from the show, namely Levi and Mikasa Ackerman, might also appear as in-game cosmetics during the season.

3) First-person mode

Players will soon be able to select between a third-person view and the much-awaited first-person perspective in the game's primary Battle Royale and Zero Build playlists. Players are anxiously awaiting the official release of the view option after it became widely used through in-game hacks in Fortnite's Creative and Save the World modes.

According to leakers and data miners, the mode will arrive in Chapter 4 Season 2, and players will be able to enjoy the game like never before.

4) New Reality Augments and Wall Run mechanic

Fortnite's Chapter 4 Season 2 will include, among other things, an expansion of the game's already-extensive roster of 36 Reality Augments with the addition of 13 more. The latest round of Augments will reportedly unvault classic items like Pizza Party Consumable and the Flint Knock pistol, which can fire weapons underwater.

Additionally, a Wall Run mobility feature will be available to players, allowing them to quickly and easily bridge gaps between platforms via wall running. The Sprint gameplay mechanism, which allows Loopers to run faster, will be employed in conjunction.

5) Mega City POI

In a tweet earlier this evening, Fortnite officially revealed a new POI, Mega City. Expect a futuristic cityscape with neon signs, cherry blossom trees, and other hallmarks of cyberpunk culture at the location.

One structure has a huge beast perched on it, while another has ascenders for Loopers to reach higher floors. Players will be able to explore the region uniquely, thanks to the Neon Rails that encircle the POI. This resembles the Neo Tilted POI in Chapter 1 Season 9.

6) Grind Rail ability over Neon Tubes

Like the Roller Coaster rails in Chapter 3's Rave Cave, Neon Tubes will ring the Mega City POI. Nevertheless, a new Grind Rail mechanism this season will allow players to slide over the tubes while holding their weapon, making it much easier to get through Mega City.

7) Chapter 4 Season 2 weapons and pickaxes/harvesting tools

Recent hints from teasers and a slew of repeat leaks have pointed to an impending Katana item, which is expected to be a melee weapon rather than a pickaxe. The weapon, or its variant, was shown being held by several characters in the new official trailer, so it is safe to assume that it will appear in the game.

A new take on the famous Pump Shotgun will be added to the game, with Loopers keeping their fingers crossed that they can finally use a reliable firearm of the same type this season. The teaser also showed a different type of Pistol and Assault Rifles, hinting that the game's weaponry would be significantly altered.

A mythical item widely believed to be Eren Yeager's Waist Grappler will also be included.

8) Futuristic bikes and choppers

The current season will include a futuristic variant of the bike, which has been the subject of countless leaks and teasers. The wheels of these bikes are adorned with neon lights, making them look like the ones found in Cyberpunk video games. The Mega City POI is where players may locate and ride these motorcycles.

A Heli-Pad was also observed on the roof of one of the buildings in Mega City, suggesting the return of choppers, which were previously featured in Chapter 2 and have not been seen since. Players, however, are psyched about the futuristic variants of these vehicles that will be added to the game since they are a perfect fit for the upcoming season's theme.
