Is a Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin in the works? No, there is no such collaboration, and although a crossover with the Maker Hikōshiki Hatsune Mix manga series would be cool, that's unlikely to happen.

Despite anime themed skins becoming the norm, Epic Games cannot obtain the rights to every anime/manga character that exists. There are too many and not everyone is willing to have their creation put into a battle royale game.

That said, why is the search term "Is Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin" trending on Google? Well, by the looks of it, this seems to be a case of misidentification and a lot of wishful thinking.

Why is the term "Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin" trending on the internet?

The most logical explanation as to why the search term "Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin" is trending has to do with a character from the Chapter 3 Season 4 Battle Pass. Known as Lennox Rose, this Epic rarity outfit looks oddly similar to Hatsune Miku.

It's unclear if the developers were inspired by her design, but at first glance, it's hard to deny the uncanny resemblance. Since both of them are anime characters, it makes it all the easier to put two and two together. However, there are some differences.

While Hatsune Miku's hair sports blue hues, Lennox Rose, on the other hand, has multiple color choices. Nevertheless, it has to be said that their hairstyles look somewhat similar. In fact, Lennox's Spectral style closely matches the shades of Hatsune Miku's dress.

But despite all the similarities, there's nothing to suggest that a collaboration is in the works. To add some context, Frolic, an emote that was added to the game in Chapter 3 Season 1, uses an original song rather than the Hatsune Miku cover of Ievan Polkka.

Additionally, the leeks used in the original dance are replaced with carrots in-game. That said, it can be assumed that they did take a lot of inspiration from Hatsune Miku and unofficially made their version of the character in Fortnite.

Furthermore, thanks to hundreds of fans typing in the search phrase "Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin" across various social media platforms, Google has decided that the search term is worth turning into a trend.

For now, players will have to make do with Lennox Rose and her several adorable styles that can be used in-game.

Apart from the Hatsune Miku Fortnite skin, what are the other false rumors of characters being added to the game?

Over the last couple of days, everyone from Michael Myers to Lil Uzi Vert was "supposedly" added to Fortnite as skins. While this would no doubt be cool, it is far from the truth.

In Lil Uzi Vert's case, it seems that the community drew comparisons to Bonejamin and a picture of the rapper that looked similar to the skin. Thanks to the power of the internet, it didn’t take long for the community to unanimously come to the conclusion that Bonejamin was indeed a Lil Uzi Vert skin.

Similarly, for Michael Myers, the rumors of his supposed arrival in-game were sparked by misleading videos. While fans did have a part to play in this, their role was limited to wishful thinking rather than spreading false rumors.
