The Caribbean Premier League is an annual T20 competition held in the islands of the West Indies. The CPL, as it is called, has a history of 6 years as the first ever edition of the tournament was held in 2013. As the competition moves on to its seventh edition, it has plenty of cricketainment to offer to the world.
In 2019, the tournament will have six teams competing against each other in a double round-robin league stage. The knockout stage will consist of playoffs. The top two teams will play the Qualifier 1. The winner will head on to the Final and the loser will move to Qualifier 2. The third and fourth placed teams will face off in the Eliminator. The winner of this clash will play in the Qualifier 2 whereas the loser will be knocked out. The winner of the Qualifier 2 will play in the Final against the winner of Qualifier 1 on 12 October 2019.

The six teams for CPL 2019 are Trinbago Knight Riders, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Guyana Amazon Warriors, St Lucia Zouks, Jamaica Tallawahs and Barbados Tridents. These teams will have many international stars from the Caribbean as well as the rest of the world.
The venues for the tournament are Port of Spain in Trinidad, Providence Stadium in Guy
ana, Basseterre in St Kitts, Kingston in Jamaica, Gros Islet in St Lucia, Bridgetown in Barbados, Tarouba in Trinidad and the venue for the first two playoffs is yet to be decided.
