Australia is scheduled to tour South Africa in February and March 2020. The South Africa vs Australia tour will consist of three Twenty20 Internationals and the same number of One Day Internationals.
The first part of the tour will see both the teams play three T20I matches against each other. Both of the teams will take this series as an opportunity to judge the strength of their squad and the level of their preparation for the 2020 ICC Twenty20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Australia from 18 October 2020.
South Africa vs Australia 20202 will be the first T20 series of the year for the Aussies whereas the Proteas will be coming into this series after playing a three-match T20 series against England. The South African team will only get to play one more T20 series before the World Cup and thus this will be a crucial series for them to get their core of their team fixed for the World Cup.
The Australian cricket team will play T20 series against the Kiwis and England following this series, thus giving them a good opportunity to play and test their squad against the big teams.
The SA vs AUS three-match ODI series will start on 29 February 2020 and conclude on 7 March 2020. The series opener will be played in Boland Park, Paarl. The second match will be played in Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein and the possible series decider will be played in Senwes Park in Potchefstroom.
For both the teams, this will be their second ODI series of the year. Australia would be coming into this series after playing a three-match ODI series against India in January and South Africa would have faced England in a three-match series as well which would end just 3 days before the start of the T20I series against the Aussies.
