On November 12, 2024, Rockstar Games just released a brand new GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition update 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. The patch not only fixed many of the issues these versions of the game were plagued with but also made them on par with Netflix’s mobile version. All three games included in the bundle, Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City, and San Andreas, have received substantial upgrades.

Despite the few official patch notes released by Rockstar Games, the Grand Theft Auto community has noticed some things added or fixed with the recent GTA Definitive Edition update 2024 for PC and consoles.
As per a Grand Theft Auto community member @TJGM_ who posts GTA content on X, the trilogy's definitive edition has received the classic lighting option, enabling gamers to toggle between the classic look of the game and the new one.
They also found out that Rockstar Games has removed mentions of Grove Street Games from the game, including credits. The patch has been released by Video Game Deluxe, the developers behind Netflix’s version of these games.

@TJGM_ also pointed out that the lamp lights in these games are once again orange rather than white, thanks to the latest update.
Moreover, they reported on X a couple of moments ago that the new update also adds the ability to see dates and times in the Grand Theft Auto San Andreas’ save menu.
Players can also find ambient clouds in the sky after installing the latest GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition update 2024 on PC and consoles. The swimming animations have also been improved a bit with the latest patch.
According to another Grand Theft Auto community member @BestInfinity, the developers have also added the ability to shoot and run at the same with weapons like Shotguns and Flame Throwers, something that wasn’t available on either Grand Theft Auto 3 or Grand Theft Auto Vice City.
Fans can expect some more hidden tweaks and bug fixes made to the game with the latest patch.
