According to David Ornstein, the Reds have been closely monitoring the 21-year-old as a potential transfer candidate this summer after his splendid performances for the Canaries this term.
The English midfielder has tallied six goals and two assists under Daniel Farke so far this season but has been unable to keep his side away from the relegation zone, with the club now languishing at the bottom of the Premier League.

Brendan Rodgers claims United-linked James Maddison will remain at Leicester City beyond January
James Maddison

Leicester City head coach Brendan Rodgers has ruled out an exit for Manchester United-linked James Maddison, adding that the midfielder is currently in talks with the club over a contract extension.
The England international has been heavily linked with the Red Devils in recent weeks as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues his search for a playmaker who can fill the absence left by injured duo, Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba, in their midfield.
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Rodgers has insisted that Maddison will remain with the Foxes beyond the January transfer window. He said (via Sky Sports), "There's no pressure to sell and no need to sell. James is a very talented player and he will be here in January and beyond. He's a player we're keen to remain here and help us on this journey over the next years. James and his representatives are speaking with the club and these things take time."

Chelsea's Danny Drinkwater completes loan move to Aston Villa
Drinkwater has completed his loan move to Aston Villa

Danny Drinkwater has completed his loan move to Aston Villa after ending a doomed loan spell at Burnley from Chelsea. The England international successfully completed his medical at Bodymoor Heath training ground on Tuesday morning before penning down his second loan deal of the season.
The 29-year-old is believed to be an ideal deputy for John McGinn, who is out until March following an ankle injury during the Villans' defat to Southampton last year.
While the Daily Mail reports that Villa will cough up £110,000 per week in wages to Drinkwater, Sky Sports believe Chelsea have agreed to pay for a portion of his wages.

Wilfried Zaha's new agent holds preliminary talks with Bayern Munich
Wilfried Zaha

According to Sky Sports, Wilfried Zaha's new agent, Pini Zahavi, has held preliminary talks with Bayern Munich over a possible transfer for the Crystal Palace winger this month. The Ivory Coast international recently parted ways with his former representative, Will Salthouse, in favour of the Israeli super-agent in an effort to force a move out of Selhurst Park.
A January move for Zaha is unlikely to take place, however, with a summer transfer understood to be more feasible. The 27-year-old's future is tipped to be outside the Premier League as there are very few clubs that can afford his fees. The Eagles were previously reported to have turned down a £70 million bid from Everton last summer, with chairman Steve Parish allegedly holding out for around £80 million.

Danny Drinkwater close to securing a loan move to Aston Villa
Danny Drinkwater

According to The Telegraph, Chelsea’s Danny Drinkwater is close to securing his second loan move of the season, with Aston Villa on the brink of signing him on a temporary basis.
The midfielder, who was sent out on loan to Burnley last summer, failed to impress at Turf Moor and returned to Chelsea earlier in the month, having made just one Premier League appearance for the Clarets.
The 29-year-old will reportedly undergo a medical at Aston Villa today and is expected to provide cover for John McGinn, who is currently out injured with an ankle injury.
It remains to be seen if Drinkwater manages to help the Villains in their bid to steer clear of a relegation battle.
