Mojang Studios has been revealing loads of new features that will arrive with the Minecraft 1.21 update. While most of these features have been well-received by the player base, there are some that are yet to be added to the game despite high demand from the community. The developers could still introduce these features in the 1.21 update, but there are no hints of them being considered as of now.

Here is a list of missing features from the Minecraft 1.21 update that the player base has been vocal about.

Note: This article is subjective and reflects the writer's opinion. However, many of these features have been extensively discussed in the Minecraft community.

List of five features missing from Minecraft 1.21 update

1) Changes to the End

The End is one of the three realms in which players go to face the Ender Dragon, the final boss mob of Minecraft. Nevertheless, the End hasn't been changed in several years. Therefore, millions of players are hoping to see a significant update to the barren dimension.

Major additions to The End could include new biomes, narratives, and mobs that transform the existing realm's appearance and feel. Its enigmatic vibe offers a lot of room for development.

2) New features in Deep Dark biome

The Deep Dark biome was added with the Minecraft 1.19 update, and it quickly became one of the scariest regions in the Overworld. Mojang Studios also introduced the Warden mob and Ancient City as part of the biome.

Many players are eager to see the biome and the world of Deep Dark expand. Some have speculated about the Warden statue in the Ancient City being a portal to a new dimension, and they wanted to see new features added to the Deep Dark as well.

3) Inventory updates

Although the 1.21 update is adding loads of new blocks and items, new Minecraft features related to inventory management are nowhere to be found. Soon after spawning in a new world, players collect all kinds of resources and quickly fill their inventory. Hence, they spend a significant amount of time managing those items.

This is why the Minecraft community is hoping to see an inventory update, where Mojang Studios adds certain features that help players easily sort out resources, whether it is in their inventory or their chests.

4) Bundle

Bundles were first revealed by Mojang Studios with the announcement of the Caves and Cliffs update in 2020. The developers explained how it would hold 64 units of any one item, a single full stack of an identical item, or a variety of objects added together to make 64 units. Similar to shulker boxes, these could also be thrown out in the world and picked up by another player.

Unfortunately, it has been more than four years and bundles have not been officially added to the game. There are no indications that the item will be added to the Minecraft 1.21 update either. Many players have already forgotten about the item, but it could be extremely useful if the developers choose to add it at some point.

5) Badlands expansion

Badlands is a unique rare biome that has been in Minecraft for quite some time. It is a warm biome that generates lots of gold ore on every Y level. It has almost no vegetation and can spawn hostile mobs, making it a challenging region to survive in.

However, the Badlands biome has hardly received any major updates ever since it was introduced. Hence, several players in the community are expecting it to receive features in the Minecraft 1.21 update.
