1) Mythical Herobrine character

Herobrine was part of the scariest and most fascinating mythical stories that plagued the Minecraft community for a while when the game was still fresh. Started as a creepypasta, Herobrine was rumored to be a super-intelligent character that would secretly live in most single-player worlds with the ability to break and place blocks, just like a regular player.

The character looked exactly like Steve, but it had white, empty eyes. There are still debates about whether Herobrine was a myth or a real entity. Whichever way, it remains one of the most interesting stories of Minecraft.

2) Aether realm

Aether realm was a custom dimension that was accessible through a mod several years ago when Minecraft was still new. However, since the playerbase at the time was not fully aware of modding the game, many saw videos of players activating the aether portal and stepping into a new realm.
