Diamonds are one of the most craved resources in Minecraft. Players can make some of the best armor parts, tools, and weapons using diamonds. Hence, players are always in need of it. While diamonds can be found by strip mining, branch mining, or by looting structures, they can also be looted by exploring caves.
Here are a few tips to find diamonds in Minecraft caves.
Ways to find diamonds in Minecraft caves
Explore large cheese caves in the deepslate areas

A few years ago, Mojang released major changes to Minecraft's terrain generation codes. This resulted in the Overworld creating some of the largest caves players have ever seen. These large caves in Minecraft are called high-hollowness low-frequency cheese caves. They are several blocks taller and wider than old caves. These cheese caves generate on any Y level below 64.
Though diamonds are more commonly found in areas that are not exposed to the air, their ores can also be seen generating in these large caves.
These caves usually form underneath a tall mountain, which is usually hollow from the inside, consisting of large cheese caves.
Hence, players can explore these caves and spot diamond ore generating in them.
Another point to note is that players should find these caves as deep in the Overworld as possible, preferably in the deepslate areas. This is because the deeper they go in the Overworld, the more commonly diamonds generate. This means that if they find large caves at around Y level -40 or -50, they will be able to spot loads of diamond ores exposed to air.
Focus on killing and spawn-proofing caves first

After entering a large, deep cave, where diamonds will more commonly generate, players must first focus on defeating any hostile mobs and spawn-proofing the areas with torches.
If players immediately start searching for diamonds, they can be killed in a sudden creeper explosion or by a skeleton's arrow.
Hence, they must first carefully kill monsters, light up the entire cave with torches, and then start looking around to spot diamond ores.
Players will find diamond ores while fighting mobs, but they must first be focused on safety.
Use certain shader settings to illuminate ores

Apart from securing and exploring a large, deep cave for diamond ores, players can make the process a lot easier using shaders.
Shaders are third-party features that add various graphical enhancements such as directional light, realistic shadows, reflections, and more. Along with that, most shader packs have a setting that makes certain blocks like ores glow up in the dark.
Hence, if players are having a tough time finding diamond ores in caves, they can simply turn on shaders and search for a settings that make ores illuminate. One of the best shader packs to do so is Complementary Shaders. In this shader pack's settings, find the "Visual Style" setting and turn it to "Unbound" to light up the ores.
