Minecraft mods are always a great way to improve the gameplay experience and add more exciting content to the game. While the Minecraft 1.21 update is rapidly proving to be one of the best updates the game has received, you still have to wait for it to officially drop. In the meantime, the Better on Bedrock mod is a great way to make the game more fun.

If you are considering getting the mod, here’s everything you need to know about it, including how to download it and what it does.

There are many things about the mod that improve the vanilla gameplay experience. The most notable additions that this mod brings include:

  • Functional copper armor
  • Backpack made using leather
  • Loot bags
  • Overworld waystones
  • Quest system
  • Vein miner and Tree Capacitator enchantments
  • New ores such as tin and aluminum
  • Battle towers

One of the most exciting things in this mod is the Overworld waystones, which is essentially a teleporting system you can use to easily travel to distant places such as villages or bases in different biomes. This is something Minecraft vanilla should have as it makes traveling easier and not a hassle. While there are Minecraft add-ons for that, having the ability to teleport to distant places in the overworld natively is a great option to have.

Copper armor is another great item that comes with this mod. Ever since copper was added to the game, it has been an under-utilized item. There’s a lot of copper in mines and caves and yet so little use of it. The copper armor is stronger than the leather armor but weaker than the iron armor, making it the perfect disposable armor that provides considerable protection as well. Finally, copper can get more use in the game.

The in-game backpack system allows you to upgrade your inventory storage, which is yet another great addition that should already be present in the game. The game's vanilla version has a fixed slot for your inventory and the only way to improve it is either by using an ender chest, which is restrictive, or by getting shulker boxes, which you can only get later in the game.

There are also new ores such as tin and aluminum and the addition makes mining more exciting. Battle towers are present all over the world, providing a great combat challenge. But the most exciting part is the mod adds a quest line to the game, something many players have been asking Mojang for years to add in Minecraft.
