Minecraft's latest crossover DLC, featuring the world of the Kung Fu Panda series, has plenty of content, though its most challenging aspect may very well be the four boss fights. As one might expect from a Kung Fu Panda DLC, the most notable antagonists in the fictional franchise by Dreamworks have returned to cause trouble for Po, the Dragon Warrior.

If players are curious about the Minecraft X Kung Fu Panda DLC or have already downloaded it, it doesn't hurt to take a look at each in-game boss and how their mechanics operate. Hopefully, this helps players assemble a strategy when they encounter the bosses, and it might even bring some fans over to try out this new DLC.

Tai Lung

Determined to swipe the Dragon Scroll, players will encounter Tai Lung in the Minecraft X Kung Fu Panda DLC at the Jade Temple. For the most part, Tai Lung's boss fight is incredibly straightforward; he'll charge the player and attempt to take them out with his martial arts at melee range. By weaving between the Jade Temple's braziers and columns, players can get free hits on Tai Lung.

Moreover, if players are particularly good at timing their clicks or have a high click-per-second (CPS) factor, they can repeatedly strike Tai Lung and lock him into knockback so he can't respond. It's not the easiest tactic compared to using the environment, but it's worth considering.

Once Tai Lung is beaten on the inside of the temple, he'll transition to the temple garden and refill his health. However, the same tactics should be enough to beat him again in this second phase.

All told, Tai Lung doesn't exactly have any tricks up his sleeve.

Lord Shen

Compared to Tai Lung, Lord Shen's boss fight is much more indirect. Shen imprisons the Furious Five and assembles a fleet of gun boats, sending scores of underlings to attack players. Fans will need to grab throwing axes from the nearby weapon racks on the dock to free the Furious Five. However, the axes can also be instrumental in taking out Shen's cronies without being swarmed in melee.

Once players have freed the Furious Five, they'll need to take down each gun boat in Shen's fleet. Fortunately, it only takes about two throwing axes to bring down the gun boats. However, players should be aware of Shen's underlings continuing to spawn and attack, so they might want to stay mobile. With the boats defeated, Shen will engage in personal combat with players.

Minecraft fans should watch their footing as they approach Shen on the wreckage and engage him in melee. However, they should back off when Shen equips his spear and begins to spin.

It's also important for players to not leave too much distance between themselves and Shen, as he'll begin to toss projectiles. It also doesn't hurt to hop into the lower areas of the battleground (including the water) to let Po naturally heal if needed.

Kai the Collector

Kai the Collector's boss fight the Minecraft X Kung Fu Panda DLC's Panda Village will require some quick movement. Kai will dispatch his Jombie squads to defeat players and invade the village. However, if players move quickly, they can stock up on firecrackers from the nearby container. These will be incredibly useful for taking out Jombies without being surrounded.

Once the Jombies are taken care of, Kai will enter the fray himself, and Po will skadoosh him into the Spirit Realm. Kai attacks at significant range, so players will need to time his animations and then move in to strike him in between attacks.

Kai can still attack at close range, but he does much less damage as a result. Additionally, players can collect a Spirit of the Dragon Warrior in Kai's arena.

The Chameleon

Defeating the Chameleon in this Minecraft DLC will require knowledge of the previous boss battles, but otherwise, besting this shapeshifting mistress shouldn't be too difficult. Players can use the same tactics while fighting Tai Lung/Shen/Kai and can even circle the arena to avoid attacks. However, they will have to be mindful that they can't really use the environment for cover.

After beating her shapeshifted forms, the Chameleon will morph into a large serpent. In this phase, players will need to dodge her fire blasts and wait for her to drop rocks into the arena. These rocks can be picked up and thrown at the Chameleon to damage her while she's in the air. After this phase is complete, the Chameleon will finally shapeshift into a mirror image of Po.

The Chameleon will begin throwing rolling projectiles while spewing fire, and players can either approach and attack her at melee distance or continue throwing any leftover rocks they collected from the arena.

Eventually, the Chameleon will decide to attack at melee range, and Minecraft players should be able to sidestep her tongue and pummel her with kung fu attacks until she's beaten.
