The Minecraft Marketplace Pass has been updated with a fresh slate of downloadable content for July 2024, including six new character creator items. The cosmetics include a Super Blue Aura, a Galaxy Head Aura, Aura Gloves, Soul Aura Boots, Neon Aura Pants, and the color-shifting RGB Flame Aura Hoodie, all of which come with a player's Marketplace Pass subscription.
While these cosmetics and the marketplace pass itself, are only applicable to Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, some players may still want to take advantage of these character creator items to outfit their in-game avatar regardless. If they already have a pass subscription, there's no reason not to claim these new items.
How Minecraft Marketplace Pass subscribers can claim the new aura set of cosmetics
Active subscribers of the Minecraft Marketplace Pass must be quick to claim these new cosmetics, as they'll be removed from the marketplace pass rotation in early August 2024 and require a direct purchase instead. Fortunately, claiming these new items is as simple as logging in and opening the dressing room feature on Bedrock Edition.
Below, players can find the steps to claim the cosmetics included in their marketplace pass subscription:
- Run your copy of Bedrock Edition on your console, Windows PC, or Android/iOS mobile device, and log into your Microsoft account if you haven't done so already.
- Select the dressing room on the main menu using the button underneath your avatar.
- Choose to create a character or edit an existing one. You'll notice the "marketplace pass" section underneath the featured items in the dressing room.
- Click each aura cosmetic icon and redeem the items by clicking the item marked by the marketplace pass symbol. After doing so, you can equip the cosmetics to your character as you normally would in the dressing room.
That's all there is to it. Keep in mind that these items will only be available for redemption while the July 2024 marketplace pass content is live. Once the August marketplace content becomes available, these cosmetics will be made into ordinary marketplace cosmetics that will require Minecoins or a direct microtransaction payment to purchase and claim.
Sure, fans are technically already paying for these cosmetics with their monthly marketplace pass subscription, but since that's the case, there's no reason not to claim the aura cosmetic set as early as possible.
