Warner Brothers and Mojang recently released an official trailer and teaser for A Minecraft Movie. The game's massive community has been waiting eagerly for a film about the blocky sandbox. The videos showcased various scenes from the film and provided hints of the narrative it will go with. While many mobs were showcased in both promotional videos, some of the most popular creatures were left out.

This sparks questions about whether they will even feature in the film that is set to release on April 4, 2025.

This article details three famous mobs that were left out of A Minecraft Movie's trailer and teaser.

Note: Parts of this article are based on speculation by the writer and are not officially confirmed by Mojang or Warner Brothers. Furthermore, the article is subjective. The choices of mobs reflect the writer's opinions.

A Minecraft Movie trailer and teaser left out three popular mobs from the game

Ender Dragon

After all the regular mobs that attack players in the Overworld, the Ender Dragon is possibly the most famous mob in Minecraft. It is the final boss mob that players need to fight in order to complete the game's underlying story.

The beast dwells in the End realm, flying on top of the main island. As soon as players enter the End realm, they need to fight the dragon or die to get out of the dimension.

In both the teaser and the trailer, there was not even the slightest hint of the Ender Dragon being in the film. There was no mention from any of the characters about a beast. Furthermore, the indication of an End dimension was also missing.

This could be, in part, because the main antagonists showcased in the trailer were Piglins, who attacked the Overworld realm. Several shots of them invading and destroying the natural terrain were depicted.

Even though there has been just one trailer and a teaser, the Ender Dragon could potentially be completely missing from the main film. The filmmakers could add a teaser of the boss mob at the end of the film, leaving fans with something to look forward to. Who knows?

Wither

Wither is the second boss mob in Minecraft that players manually spawn using three Wither Skeleton heads, and four soul sand blocks. This boss mob is a three-headed monster that can fly around and shoot an exploding skull — not only toward the player but also at any passive mob it sees. Over the years, the Wither became an extremely popular boss mob, since it is equally tough to defeat.

The Wither was also not mentioned in A Minecraft Movie's trailer. However, since the boss mob is related to the Nether, chances are, that it could be the secret main antagonist that has not yet been revealed. All five main characters could face the wrath of a Wither at the end of the film when the Nether unleashes its full power onto the Overworld.

Warden

Another interesting detail about A Minecraft Movie's trailer and teaser was that none of the recently added mobs were featured in them. Particularly, one of the most deadly and popular hostile mobs, Warden, was nowhere to be seen.

Warden was added to Minecraft in 2022, a year before the movie went into production. It is a blind mob that dwells in the Deep Dark cave biome. Mojang intentionally made it overpowered so they could force players to simply avoid the beast and not let it spawn in the biome. It can easily obliterate even the strongest players with its melee and ranged attacks.

Hence, it could have been fun to see all five characters in the film running away from the Warden in a cave. However, the blind beast was not shown in the teaser and the trailer.

Of course, the mob can feature in the film when it is released, but nothing has been confirmed.
