Diablo 4’s Traveler’s Superstition quest is one of the many hidden objectives that doesn’t require violence. You may have to slaughter a group of mobs to get to the actual quest, but the goal is to just solve a little puzzle. Admittedly, “puzzle” might be generous, but if you aren’t used to doing these types of quests, it could easily trip you up.
If you want some free exp and a handful of potions, you owe it to yourself to stop into Hawezar to complete this quest. There are plenty of quests like Traveler’s Superstition scattered throughout Diablo 4, where you just need to know a simple command to complete it. Here’s what you need to do.
How to complete Traveler’s Superstition in Diablo 4
You can find the quest pickup for Traveler’s Superstition in Diablo 4 in the image below. It’s alongside the coast in Hawezar, right where you lept across broken, battered boats during the main story quests.
Look to the ground and you’ll see a blue Exclamation Mark next to a statue of a woman on a boat. I used the Waypoint at the Tree of Whispers to get here, but depending on how many waypoints you have on the character you’re doing the quest on, your travel point may vary.
The game will give you a hint as to what you need to do to complete Traveler’s Superstition in Diablo 4. Here’s the riddle:
“Pay your respects to her, and she will see you safely on your way. Ignore her, and suffer the fate of these poor fools.”
Thankfully, picking the wrong emote doesn’t give you any punishment. Just walk up to the front of the statue and open up your Emote Wheel. Select “Hello”, accept, and the quest will complete. You will get a bit of exp and gold, and a chest will also appear. Our rewards were a pair of Elemental Resistance potions - Cold and Shadow.
To activate the Emote Wheel, remember what you did when cheering on the militia. On a controller, you press “Up” on the D-Pad, and then use the left stick to point up at “Hello” - unless you moved it to another part of the Emote Wheel. Keyboard users will type “E”, and use the mouse to aim at the correct emote.
That’s all you must do to complete this quest. You’ll immediately receive your rewards and will be able to move on. You can even do this when enemies are around, but it might be smarter to smash through them first.
