Dune Awakening: All Trial of Aql locations

Dune Awakening offers a lot more apart from simply grinding XP, including The Trial of Aql, which is a part of the Journey progression. These spiritual and transformative trials provide you with a deeper perspective on how to survive on Arrakis. Completing them will reward you with useful gear and abilities.

There are eight trials, but you aren’t required to do these challenges right away, as finding the location for the next trial can take some time. This article will guide you on how to reach all the Trials of Aql locations in Dune Awakening.

All eight Trial of Aql locations in Dune Awakening

Scattered throughout the map are trials that provide unique and fun challenges. Each of them can be entered by interacting with an altar, which will start the challenge. Here are all the locations for each trial:

1) First Trial of Aql

The first trial is located inside the Mihna Cavern. This one is easy to find as it's a part of the Echoes of the Past questline. All you need to do is follow the quest objective. After completing the trial, you’ll receive the Scavenger Stillsuit schematic.

2) Second Trial of Aql

The second Trial is located in the Eastern Vermillius Gap. To reach this location, travel to Aren's Post. The trial is located inside a cave called The Deep Struggle. Completing this trial will reward you with the Static Compactor schematic.

3) Third Trial of Aql

The third trial is located in the Cave of the Lost Pilgrim within Western Vermillius Gap. Spot the flat rock formation on your map and head towards it to find this cave. Upon reaching the area, you’ll notice this trial is a bit different. That’s because there isn’t any trial, but instead, a recording.

4) Fourth Trial of Aql

The fourth trial will take you back to the Eastern Vermillius Gap. This time, head towards the largest rock formation on your map. To reach this trial, you’ll need to scale the mountain until you find the cave. Completing this trial will unlock a new skill slot, Unfixed Crysknife schematic, and the ability to use Spice in combat.

5) Fifth Trial of Aql

The fifth trial is in the Hagga Rift and can be found on the opposite side of Hagga Rift Shipwreck, near House Hagal. This one requires you to drop down into a cave called The Hidden Test to reach the trial altar.

6) Sixth Trial of Aql

The sixth trial is located in the top-right corner of your map in the Jabal Eifrit Al-Sharq region inside the Devil's Eye Cavern. This will be a very long walk, so pick up your Sandbike and keep a Welding Torch in your inventory.

7) Seventh Trial of Aql

The seventh Trial of Aql takes you back to the Hagga Rift inside The Red Maw cave. This one is on the upper side of the Hagga Rift, and it will teach you more survival tricks. To reach the entrance of the cave, look for a red glow in the area.

8) Eighth Trial of Aql

The final Trial of Aql is located near the edge of the Eastern Shield Wall, where the borders of Mysa Tarill and Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb meet. Travel through Mysa Tarill until you reach a large door, where you’ll need to answer a few questions to enter.

These are related to previous trials, so pay attention to all conversations. The entire final trial is a test of your knowledge throughout multiple puzzle rooms and may take some time to complete.
