Dune Awakening offers you five different classes to specialize in, each bringing unique abilities that can be unlocked using skill points. Most MMO titles usually feature a streamlined character upgrade system that locks players to a single or, sometimes, dual class. However, this isn’t the case here.
Despite having a class system, the game does not force you to make a choice. Instead, the skill points you earn can be invested across each class. However, there would be no point in this without an option to respec skill points for flexibility.
How to respec skill points in Dune Awakening
There may come a time when the build you created isn’t proving to be as effective, or you're simply not having fun. In situations like this, respecing comes in clutch. In Dune Awakening, you can perform a complete respec without any resource cost.

Sounds incredible, right? That’s because it actually is. Allow skill point respec lets you try each class and make different ability combinations. There aren’t any restrictions if you want to use a single class, but combining multiple abilities can be a more fun way to play.
Here’s how you can perform a complete respec:
- Open System Menu by pressing ESC and navigate to Skills. Alternatively, press K on the keyboard.
- In the bottom right corner of the menu, click on Respec Skill Tree. Alternatively, press R.
- A confirmation box will pop up. Press Space bar or click on Confirm.
That’s it; respecing your character is that simple. However, there is a little catch. Once you respec, this option will not be available for 48 hours. This means that with each respec, you get stuck with one build for the next two days.
Can you unlock every skill in Dune Awakening?

You can unlock everything from the skill tree; however, there are a total of 200 skill points, which isn’t nearly enough to max out everything. Making different builds is the bread and butter of the game, and if players eventually max out every skill on the tree, there will be no point in respec.
Since there is PvP, maxing out skills is also very important. Even if you don’t want to max everything and simply have skills unlocked, there are a few more restrictions. While there isn’t a limit for the passive skills, you are limited to three Abilities and three Techniques at a time.
This means the Abilities and Techniques you aren’t using are simply a waste of skill points. That’s why it’s important not to spread yourselves too thin across the board.
