Destiny 2 is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Bungie. The game involves collecting certain types of equipment to help you proceed. One of the ways to do so is by collecting Engrams, which grants you access to high-end equipment.

Many Engrams can be found in this game, including Legendary and Exotic Engrams. You can obtain Legendary Engrams by participating in and completing various activities. It can also be a reward when you defeat enemies in specific actions, but that is rare. Here are a few ways to obtain Legendary Engrams in the game.

As mentioned, you are rewarded with Legendary Engrams when you complete certain activities in the game. They get automatically decrypted when you collect them, and then you are rewarded with a piece of gear in Destiny 2. If you do not collect the Legendary Engram at the end of an activity or your inventory is complete, they are directly sent to the Postmaster. Once you’ve made space in your inventory, you can return to the Postmaster and collect them.

The easiest way to earn legendary engrams in Destiny 2 is by completing casual activities in the game. Completing Vanguard Playlist activities is an excellent way to acquire these Legendary Engrams. Alternatively, completing a Dares of Eternity run will reward you with these Legendary Engrams in Destiny 2.

Apart from these, looting region chests and completing regular Lost Sectors on the various destinations in the game is an excellent way to acquire Legendary Engrams. The weapons and armor that drop from these Legendary Engrams are random and often contain items from the world loot pool.

They also drop gear from activity-specific loot pools, but those instances are pretty rare. On specific destinations like Neomuna, the legendary engrams you earn from activities like the Terminal Overload public event will drop gear that is in rotation at that time.

Whenever you complete an activity, you’ll receive a Legendary Engram equivalent to the average of your character’s power level. For example, suppose your current power level is 1800, and you have a power level +20 on your seasonal artifact. In that case, your character’s power level is effectively at 1780, and all the Legendary Engrams you receive will be a few points over 1780. In such a scenario, if you receive a piece of gear that’s above 1780 but does not have good rolls, you can always infuse it with another piece of equipment with good rolls but below 1780. To invest gear, you’ll need to use Upgrade Modules.
